Vintage "Minnow for 2" Houseboat

This memorable place is anything but ordinary. Most recent getaway added to our Boatel Row right here in Iowa's only island City. This vintage houseboat captures the heart of the river. She may be a little tiny, but she is a big catch. Let's reel you in with this unique cozy houseboat that sits right on the water. Complimentary kayak rentals at the lake and we also have a beach area within walking distance. It has one cozy twin bed and a futon. The bathroom has a sink, and all in one toilet/shower, however you can use our modern state of the art bath houses within walking distance.

The Minnow has a record player with vintage 1960's albums, games, and a retro feel.

Kelly is wonderful. Very kind and understanding. I was concerned that the neighborood on the dock might be a whoop-it-up loud all-night-long kind of party crowd (and I am VERY boring), but everyone was going-out-of-their way charming and kind. Overall - it was lovely. Highly recommend it. Perfect getaway.

Stay on the Minnow

Had a wonderful time. 1st time staying on a house boat. It was unique experience. Everyone was so friendly, facilities were all neat and clean and Kelly at the store/office was terrific. She was very helpful and answered all our questions and addressed any of our needs immediately. We are looking forward to staying here again.

My Happy Place

This was one of the best vacations I ever have had. Everyone was so concerned that I was ok and enjoying myself. The Minnow became "my houseboat" as it was so well decorated and homey. I even discovered my soul sister there. I definitely will return, to relax, destress, kayak and see all of my Island City friends.
