The venue was represented as a Bed and Breakfast on Expedia. The listed amenities included breakfast, The host explained it was not a Bed and Breakfast but a short-term rental. No breakfast was forthcoming. Moreover, the room did not have a bathroom but a shared bathroom down the hall that was not disclosed. The room was also unusually small. Finally, the room had a check-in after 4:30 and a checkout before 10AM. The home was beautiful but the experience of staying there was disappointing,

I didn’t want to leave! This place is absolutely wonderful. So cozy, unique, quirky yet beautifully decorated with such wonderful amenities. The bedding and bed, towels, shades in the room, dimmable lights, coffee, teas, natural light. I will never stay anywhere else in Sacramento again.

What a wonderful retreat!

You step into Harbinson House with all of its wonderful 19th century and creative contemporary charm, and you feel like you've entered a little Wonderland in another time and space. A quiet and creative space, eccentric, as that is part of its charm! We had a great time, and strongly recommend Harbinson House as a perfect weekend getaway from the day to day, and the ordinary hotel or AirBnB. Breakfast dining is nearby, and with a few extra blocks added to our journey, we discovered thanks to our host, Tower Café. We plan on making a return visit in near future.

The host was a lovely person who greeted us and showed us to our room right when we got there! My boyfriend and I were celebrating our birthdays and this hotel ended up being the right choice for us :). I definitely would recommend staying here, it was peaceful and exactly the victorian vibes I was looking for. Also the beds were so comfortable very cozy vibes overall!
