Our host was extremely friendly, informative, and quick to respond. She greeted us upon arrival and showed us our room, the bathroom, and where to find things. Our room was clean and we loved looking around at all of the pictures, little doors, and wonderful nods to Alice in Wonderland.

Rhonda is a fantastic host and made us feel very welcome. Rooms are charming and thoughtful decorated in a home with a long history. Plenty of street parking near house. We spent the evening on J Street and found a wonderful coffee house nearby the next morning. Great location on the edge of downtown Sacramento and a wonderful experience.

The Harbinson House was a great place to stay for going to a show at Ace of Spades. It is in a beautiful historic neighborhood and the place itself is a quirky historic home. I was able to walk back and forth from the venue while looking at the amazing architecture of the houses. My room had an Alice In Wonderland theme with a functioning Victorola which was really cool. There is a shared bathroom with one other room, but it was really clean and not an issue. Late check-in and early check-out is the only small issue I had.

My partner and I stayed for one night at the Alice in Wonderland themed room. The owner, Rhonda, was extremely nice and she explained the door locks, rooms, checkout process, amenities, etc very concisely and it was easy to understand. She was also very timely with communication before the stay which is always appreciated as a guest. The room itself was very fun to be in and clean. The decorations were beautiful! It felt like there was always something new to look at every time we glance around the room. Lots of corners and angles to get Instagram worthy pictures! Location was convenient too. Close to a major freeway, close to Midtown and Downtown. Very accessible to many parts of Sacramento with a car. Parking is street parking but there were plenty of spots to park on the street even when we came back at 9:30pm ish on a Saturday. Only thing I wish the room had was brighter lighting. There are plenty of lamps/lights in the room and some of them you can adjust the brightness but even when you have all the lights on, the room felt a bit dark. But I guess too bright of a room sort of goes against the theme. We were mainly in the room to just sleep so we didn’t mind it too much but if you are staying inside to get some work done or read for a long time or something, you might find it a bit dark. But aside from that, 100% recommend if you want to stay in a fun room during ur visit to Sacramento.

Perfect. Everything was Perfect about staying at this place. The amenities were super useful and convenient, it’s like the place knew what I needed for just in case moments like a beautiful polkadot umbrella, qtips, coffee machine, water bottles in the fridge, a wine bottle opener etc.. ONTOP of that, the whole place was decorated so well. You can tell there was so so much love and thought put into the place, my room was also soooo beautiful and so clean! I stayed in the French Room. Even down to the comforters and pillows were really comfortable, it wasn’t like every other place you would typically stay at. This is by far, one of the BEST places I have ever stayed at. Rhonda was also super sweet and accomodating, she has such a great warm personality! Rhonda has really took the time to make this place into what it is and you can tell by every detail. This place being in downtown sacramento was also a plus, it was a 5-7 minute drive to everything there! I love this place, if I come to Sacramento again I am definetly staying at this place again. This place will turn your trip from a 10/10 to a 20/10!

I didn’t want to leave! This place is absolutely wonderful. So cozy, unique, quirky yet beautifully decorated with such wonderful amenities. The bedding and bed, towels, shades in the room, dimmable lights, coffee, teas, natural light. I will never stay anywhere else in Sacramento again.
