Family Home and Incredible Views | Blue Grouse

Welcome to a luxury view home: Blue Grouse.  This charming mountain-style home features awe-inspiring, sweeping views of Lake Pend Oreille and Bottle Bay.  Perched upon the hillside of Gold mountain, the home is designed to embrace the scenic lake views below.  An open main floor plan features a large kitchen and informal eating area that opens out to a covered deck.  The rustic farm-styled dining table easily seats 6 and the entire family with love the great room with large fireplace and huge glass windows.

Two main floor bedrooms (one with Queen bed and the second with two twins), plus main floor sleeper sofa, full bathroom and laundry make up the rest of the main floor.  Head upstairs to an exquisite master suite with King bed, luxury linens, large bathroom with shower and separate tub.  An additional sitting area resides just outside the master bedroom making a great reading and relaxation area.  Additionally, there are two extra-large luxury tri-fold mattresses (very comfortable) and two kid-size folding mattresses available for additional sleeping, but not listed as part of the home's bed configuration.

This family home is ideal for anyone who wants to relax in a well built home overlooking nature's beauty.  Watch bald eagles soar above the lake.  Soak and stretch in the hot tub, and take in the panoramic views of 43 mile long Lake Pend Oreille and the Selkirk and Cabinet mountain ranges.  Read a book and or watch a movie, warmed by the two gas fireplaces.  When it's time to eat -- all will enjoy this fully appointed kitchen.  Then when it's time to sleep, great linens, pillows and blankets ensconce you.

Outside the living, dining and kitchen areas is a large deck that wraps around the lake view side of the home.  Great for sitting and eating outside.

Blue Grouse is about 15 minutes from downtown Sandpoint and just minutes away from Bottle Bay Resort (boat launch, boat rentals and restaurant).  Schweitzer Mountain is 45 minutes from the home making Blue Grouse an ideal 'getaway' home anytime of the year.  Book now.

Unbeatable Views

The house was clean and well stocked. We absolutely loved sitting on the porch looking out at the lake. It’s a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. We would highly recommend staying there. The only issue we had was the master bedroom does not have blinds and the sun rise was at 4:30am!! Kinda an issue if you wanted to sleep in on vacation. :)

Highly recommend this beautiful home

This place is so relaxing, we recommend it to anyone that is looking for a peaceful retreat. The view from the deck was amazing, sweeping 180 degree views of the lake and mountains. Deer were grazing several days in the yard. We did go at an off season time, so I imagine it gets crowded at peak season and the road to get there is quite narrow. We had a few hiccups at first, such as no laundry soap (so check and make sure you have it), the hot tub was not ready, but it was all remedied. The property management company was the best we have ever encountered and we use a lot of VRBO. They responded quickly and went over and above to help. I accidentally forgot something and they mailed it to me. I can't say enough great things about them!

Amazing Property. Incredible Experience.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay during Thanksgiving break with our family this year. My husbands parents and sister joined us last minute, we notified the management company and there was no problem adding on a few extra guests to our stay. Wonderful view, excellent hot-tub and amazing kitchen stocked with quality cooking equipment. Can't wait to stay next again next year.

A wedding vacation to remember

We, my husband and I, along with our 2 grown children, grandchild and friend came to Sagle for a family wedding. It could not have been more perfect. The home was warm, comfy and fully stocked with every cooking utensil one could imagine. The beds and pillows were so very comfortable. Thank you for a wonderful trip.

A Comfortable Stay in a Beautiful Home

The home was very well equipped, clean, and comfortable for our family of 5. Although we didn't get to enjoy the area as much as we had hoped due to the wildfire smoke during our stay, we did get to appreciate the local wildlife including many deer, eagles, rabbits, bats, and more. A wonderful experience overall, and we would be happy to stay again in the future.

Beautiful home, beautiful view, all the things necessary for a great trip! Wild turkeys, deer, bald eagles came to visit each day. Had a great time, definitely look this place up if we’re in town again. Might be time to replace mattress in smaller guest room.

Hanging with the Fam at Blue Grouse

We had a very good time. The house was well equipped. We had a bit of trouble understanding the baseboard heaters, but other than that we were happy to be there.

Not as advertised

I tried multiple times to get a resolution and any attempt I made was not followed through with on their end. Fake nail visible under table and broken light above bed. Not all jets working in hot tub but I didn't complain until the main reason I rented property I was told was not available and no resolve to help with their error. Wanted to love this property but customer service is huge in a business like this and they completely dropped the ball. If they had better customer service and followed through would of been a better experience.

What a view

This property is wonderful. The owners and property managers must have made a list of items needed in most family scenarios and then stocked the home for fun and comfort. We loved it and the local ski resort is now our new favorite!
