The property is located in one of the most beautiful spots in the Camargue. You'll be facing the Etang des Launes, where you can enjoy the sublime sunset and observe the rich fauna (over 150 species). Just a short distance away, you can go horse-riding, enjoy horse-drawn carriage rides, hiking or cycling. The picturesque village of Les Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer is just 2 km away, as is the sea and its beautiful beaches. Very close by is the superb ornithological park of Pont de Gau where you can see all the species of Camargue birds such as pink flamingos, wild ducks, etc.

INSIDE
This unoverlooked rental property comprises 2 self-contained, mosquito-screened and air-conditioned units, ideal for getting together with family or friends. On the right, the house comprises the living room with lounge/TV area, open-plan kitchen and dining area, as well as 3 bedrooms. One of these has a double bed with access to the poolside terrace, while the second has two single beds. They share a separate shower room with WC. The third bedroom has a double bed and en-suite shower room with WC.
To the left, the Cabane de Gardian (traditional dwelling) has a shower room and WC in its hall. From the living room with lounge/TV, open-plan kitchen and dining area, you access the bedroom with double bed and integrated shower room with private WC. It overlooks the swimming pool. The narrow staircase leads to a mezzanine with two single beds (not recommended for young children).

OUTSIDE
When you arrive, there is a shelter for 2 cars, and 2 more can be parked alongside. You enter through a gate which, once closed, protects the property, whose inner courtyard houses the laundry room. The exceptional location of this unconventional holiday home, nestling in the middle of the Camargue, means you can relax and enjoy the heated swimming pool (in spring or September), with its outdoor shower, while watching the wild ducks fly by... You can enjoy an aperitif overlooking the Etang des Launes in the outdoor lounge or dining area, both of which are roofed.

OUR OPINION
If you're an enthusiast of local colour, you'll be delighted by this unusual location, where peace and quiet and a change of scenery are the key words. A highly recommended spot for a well-earned break in the Camargue. But don't forget to visit Arles or Aigues-Mortes, around thirty kilometres away.
