We had a brilliant stay! Staff were fantastic and room was very comfy. Food was delicious - we saw some subpar reviews of the food but really don't know what more people could want, especially on a small island where everything is imported! We had a fantastic time and will be back!

This resort is very well appointed, everything included to make the stay special. The pools are clean and plenty of comfortable seating and shade some lower rooms have a 50yd lap pool in front of their room to access which is very nice. Gift shops are available, ATM , taxi amd very good beach with beach bar and private protected area to swim in the ocean. Food is ok with many choices , i wouldnt give the food a 5 star but a good 3.5 star. Service is great and staff helpfull. Adult only with mostly European guests in their senior years and some honeymoon couples , maybe not the place to meet other singles. Great for a week off and nice safe island to visit.

This resort was a terrible experience it was double the price of the other's 3400 usd for the junior suite 1, person to an additional person was only 100 bucks. The food was awful everyday and you only get 2 resturants for a 8 night stay. Stray cats taking over your meal so you cant enjoy. Management not helpful or interested in making things more comfortable for you. There is a roach issue in the bathrooms of the suites, shower was broken but got fixed. The actual beach is not near the chairs so bring your towel and create your own setup.if you dont care about good tasting quality food, its a nice resort but if you do care about quality delicious food including good snack bars skip this resort and their sister resorts they are all next to each other. The reviews lied..this is an honest opinion from an avid traveler.

We had a lovely stay at Melia Llana. It is so clean. It's right on the the beach and not far from Santa Maria. The staff are so lovely, they really made it an absolute pleasure. Our first time to Sal and and it won't be our last.

No one was answering the phone to set up a taxi ahead of time so we waited a long time when we arrived at 1am. Our first night there were cockroaches in our room. We moved to another room but the bed was so hard that we woke up every morning with a back ache. The food at the resort was horrible. Not a lot of variety for non seafood eaters. My husband often got sick from the food. There is no 24 hour shuttle to the airport. The pool was cold and had algae in it. We paid extra for Level lounge and couldn’t even swim. Half the time towels were taken and not replaced. The jacuzzi tub was disgusting. Pool towels had to be paid for and then we got a refund after. Not all of the food was all inclusive. Some meals you had to pay an extra fee for certain options. Some restaurants required VIP access. They didn’t always respond to their What’s App messages which was the main means of communication. Oh and the mosquitos ate us alive. The drinks were great and the staff were amazing. Thank you Helio, Shirley, Nicole, Rosani, Danielson, Andre, Yuran the breakfast staff at Cafe Nostra and Level Lounge bar.

Resort is well located at a beautiful beach. We had booked a Level suite including private Jacuzzi. View from the room was simply perfect. All in all we enjoyed the 9 days in the Meliá Llana. Food and drinks were great (nachos with cheese and jalapeño extraordinary). Level promises not kept in all cases, however breakfast was great in a dedicated area with service. Restaurant booking rather difficult due to peak season obviously. Bikini Beach Bar was the best restaurant considering both food and service. Would book the resort again.

Amazing hotel, very clean with friendly staff. We were in the levels room with an upstairs. Before we booked we phoned to see if there was a toilet upstairs and were told there was. However, there wasn’t! And the stairs were not good at night. Don’t think we were given enough information when we arrived.

The property was beautiful but was very quiet. It's a space for relaxing. When I arrived, the water to shower was brown, the show tub was flooding, and when the repair man came he tracked dirt and water all over the floor and didn't clean it up. Also, no one came to clean the room and the front desk did not have towels. I had to wait for the next day to get clean towels. The property manager was also not accommodating. I switched hotels to move to the Riu Palace.

Great stay. I arrived early in the morning and it was nice that they have courtesy showers and changing rooms. There are so many pools and outside lounge areas that you could always get a beach lounge. I don't drink alcohol, but it was so nice that when you went to a bar for water, they gave you a liter size bottle. Also nice to not have to carry money. Food was very good and no matter your dietary preference you will be able to find many choices. I especially liked the ice cream bar. For a more special dining experience, I highly recommend making reservations at their restaurant Casa Nostra. Although not in Santa Maria proper, they have a shuttle there or it is just a 5 minute cab ride. I would definitely stay here again.

The property is new and beautiful, the staff friendly and helpful. but they have serious problems. There was no running water at all on 3 of 4 nights I stayed there and on 2 out of 4 afternoons. It was on and off the rest of the time. And not just my room but in restrooms by the restaurant etc. That may well be the lack of infrastructure on the very dry island that just doesn’t have enough water for everyone as opposed to the fault of the hotel itself but it is of course not what you expect at a 5 star hotel. It may not be a good idea to develop more tourism on the island. Other than that, my room wasn’t ready for check in before 5.30 which isn’t great. But they arranged a massage for me so it was fine.
