Immersed in the peaceful Piedmontese countryside and surrounded by 25,000 sq m of land, just 15 km from renowned Casale Monferrato, lies Cascina Monferrato. This rustic home with swimming pool, characterised by a fascinating mix of styles, colours and furnishings, is nestled in a corner of Piedmont included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. In general the furnishings are simple, functional and typically country but it is not unusual to find here and there pieces of furniture and decorations that recall non-European cultures and traditions. An authentic oasis of tranquillity, where it is not rare to see squirrels and dormice, hear birds singing or admire, on summer evenings between May and June, the amazing phenomenon of fireflies. The large indoor and outdoor spaces make Cascina Monferrato the ideal choice for large families or groups of friends looking for an authentic destination, immersed in the atmosphere of the countryside, far from hustle and bustle of the city. The genuine, rustic atmosphere that surrounds Cascina Monferrato is enhanced by the solid stone walls, wooden beams and simple, functional furnishings that evoke times past and an authentic lifestyle. Outside, the large portico and the pergola in front of the kitchen, covered in wisteria, offer a green setting, surrounded by lawn, tall trees and woods, where you can spend pleasant moments in the open air, in complete privacy.
Interior:
Cascina Monferrato has two floors. On the ground floor, the main entrance leads to a large living room enriched by a wood-burning fireplace. Continuing on, you come to the dining room with TV area and a spacious kitchen with a view of the greenery and the pergola. A bathroom with shower and a fitness room with some equipment complete the floor. The first floor, reached up a characteristic brick and parquet staircase, is composed of the sleeping area, consisting of two double bedrooms (one with queen-size bed), a twin bedroom (featuring 2 bunk beds), a twin bedroom with joinable beds, a bathroom with shower, and a bathroom with whirlpool tub. Along a hallway is a walk-in closet, a twin bedroom and ensuite bathroom with shower, and a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with tub and shower. From the French window of the bedroom, a stone staircase leads down to the ground floor patio, allowing direct access to the outdoor areas. The fireplaces are all ornamental except the one in the main living room. Air conditioning only in the bedrooms.
Park:
Cascina Monferrato is surrounded by 25,000 sq m of partly hilly terrain, consisting mainly of woods, tall trees and lawns located in front of the building. Conveniently positioned at the exit of the kitchen is a pergola with dining area. A rustic living area made of wooden pallets and a partially-covered patio with seating, offer the opportunity to enjoy moments in the open air. In the easternmost part is the swimming pool, shaded by tall trees while, on the other side, just beyond the entrance gate, is the parking area, with space for up to four cars.
Please notice that photos are taken in spring, therefore flower blossoming, and the colours of the gardens' grass could be different at the moment of your arrival at the villa.
Swimming Pool:
Open from the last Saturday in April to the first Saturday in October, the swimming pool is located about 100 metres from the house. Measuring 4 x 10 m with a depth of 140 cm, it is lined in PVC and has salt purification and internal lighting, allowing for evening use. The surrounding terrace area, partly gravel and partly lawn, is equipped with sunbeds, deckchairs and umbrellas.
