Quaint Direct Waterfront Home-Gardner Lake CT

Direct waterfront on Gardner Lake in Salem, CT. Property has direct access to an association beach and swim dock. Great fishing! We provide 2 stand up paddle boards, 4 kayaks (2 adult/2kids), beach chairs and sand toys. Access to Weber grill and firepit. Amazing outdoor patio, with plenty of shade. Great location to Mohegan Sun, Foxwoods and Mystic. Absolutely no parties! Family friendly beach. Must be willing to sign an agreement and liability waiver required by beach assoc. Read our reviews!
The space
House is very clean, newly updated with new appliances. Air conditioning was added in 2021 and the bathroom was updated in 2022. Appliances are also newer. Dedicated Wifi is provided and access to TV and various streaming platforms. We do provide a DVD collection with over 200 DVD's and a DVD player. Although the highlight is the outdoor space overlooking the water. Amazing patio with gazebo, plenty of seating including 7 person conversational set, dining table and chairs and a bar high top with 4 stools. We also have a fire pit that can be moved to the patio at night for your use.
Guest access
Guest access is dedicated to the entire house. Outdoor living space, patio and beach. Parking is in a driveway directly connected to the house.

Launching of boats or jet skis at the association beach area is not permitted. There is a public boat launch approximately one mile down the road if needed. Also, you may not utilize any dock space for boats or jet skis, these are private. If you do launch a boat or jet ski, you are only able to anchor it utilizing a mooring buoy in the public water space a safe distance from shore. We can work together to arrange.
Other things to note
The house is also located near many state parks, including Devil's Hopyard State Park and Gillette's Castle State Park. There are also farm markets, golf courses and breweries in the local area. We are approx. 25 minutes from Mystic which was recently voted the top 4 summer destinations in the US. We will leave a binder full of all local information from dining to movies, to shopping and such to assist with your stay.

As noted in the description, the beach is an association beach, a family friendly beach in a wonderful neighborhood. It's important for us all to keep it that way. As a result, in the reservation, please provide a list of the names of the guests that will be on the reservation. Only these guests are permitted to utilize the association property including the beach. We are very proactive and cautious to avoid creating a spring break like atmosphere. If that's what your looking for in this rental, this is not the rental for you. This will be reported and you will be asked to leave the property immediately in violation of the rules. Included in the waiver are association rules that must be strictly adhered to. Including, but not limited to, no glass on the beach, no firepits on the beach, only swim in the roped off swim area, and life jackets are required outside of the swim area when utilizing kayaks, paddle boards, etc.

No smoking and no pets in the house.

Our house is directly on the lake and waterfront and depending on the many variables (the time of year, the weather, etc), there is a chance that there can be lake flies or gnats at night. They do not bite or attack, but they tend to swarm around bright lights. We leave instructions on how to best avoid them entering the house. For example, do not leave the outdoor light on directly next to the front door so every time you open the door then can fly inside and will be attracted to the indoor light fixtures. If any do enter, please utilize the cordless vacuum to remove them and do not spray inside the house.
