Location, Location, Location....Adorable, Cozy "HideAway" with full kitchen in the heart of downtown Salida. Private entry in Center of all the Action. Unique stone walls add charm and historic flavor to your restful abode. All your Salida Adventures are steps away. 1 block to the Arkansas River and "S" Mountain biking and hiking trails. Stroll across the street to enjoy live music and festivals at Riverside Park. Walk or ride your cruiser to all the shops, art galleries, bars, breweries and local eateries. Your Adventure begins at the "HideAway"!

This home offers:
~Great Location in historic Downtown Salida!
~Queen Size Bed

~Wi-Fi and Smart TV for Streaming
~Please note this is a basement unit

All Pinon homes are "vacation ready" with a fully appointed kitchen, towels and linens. Hand, dish and shower soaps are provided, as well as toilet paper, trash bags, paper towels, salt and pepper, coffee filters and laundry soap.

Pinon Vacation Rentals provides guest support from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 pm.

All guests are responsible for reading Welcome Book “Check-In and Check-Out instructions.

~Acceptance of the terms of the Rental Agreement and all Rental Policies is ASSUMED at the time of reservation. 24 to 48 hours before arrival, check-in instructions will be sent to guest.

**This home is rented for personal vacation use only. Any other use including large gatherings or parties is not allowed. Renters must abide by all rental terms and policies, as well as all local applicable property covenants, restrictions, regulations and laws. Any evidence of smoking, use of firearms, driving ATV's other than in the driveway as access only, unapproved pets, unauthorized use of property grounds, damage resulting from violation of rental policies, and/or excessive mess may result in charges up to $3000.00 to the Guest's credit card on file, as authorized by Guest's approval of the terms of the Rental Agreement.

Reservations may be canceled more than 30 days prior to check-in with full refund. 14 to 29 days prior to arrival 50% refund. No refunds will be issued after this cut-off date for any reason. No refunds will be issued due to weather conditions, spotty internet service or interruption of service.

We were in town for FIBArk, and the location was amazing! Right in the center of the activity. While loud during the days, the festival activities ended around 10 pm so didn’t interfere with sleep. The unit was clean, beautifully decorated, and comfortable.

Great stay in central Salida

This was the perfect place to stay for a weekend of skiing at Monarch. The unit had all we needed, was cozy and comfortable, and located within just a few minutes walking distance to fantastic restaurants, bars and shops. The communications were very clear and helpful. Just the right amount too! We will stay here again when we visit Salida.

The BEST location in Salida!

This place is the absolute best location in Salida! Everything was within a short walk. Be sure to bring your bikes because the mountain trails are just over the bridge. The accommodation was very clean, and very nicely decorated. Perfect for a solo vacation or couple.

Great location!

Great location in downtown Salida, walking distance to most things, clean location, we did have to park about a block away from the location in the public parking but it wasn’t a far walk. And while the location was not loud, we were able to hear the vacuum cleaner being ran upstairs about 8 or 9 am. Overall we loved it and it was such a cute location with everything we needed for our weekend ski trip.

Unbeatable location, room for improvement

First and probably foremost: the location of F Street Hideaway is pretty perfect. Less than a block from the Arkansas River and some great hiking/mountain biking trails. Catty corner from the town park/amphitheater. And an easy walk to all sorts of restaurants, galleries, boutiques ... even two grocery stores. The unit itself is ... different. It was clean except for a few dishes that needed some additional attention. It has all the essentials in terms of plates, coffee maker, towels, etc. Full size kitchen appliances. If you're into movies and the latest TV series, the smart TV has both Netflix and HBO Max, which is super generous. But there's something you need to understand that isn't made very clear in the property description: this is a basement unit. It has some tiny windows that let in a little natural light. But if you leave the shades open, people on the sidewalk above you can see right into the unit. And because you're in a central part of downtown, there are plenty of people on the sidewalk pretty much all the time. Another related issue that we ran into was the heating system. It works ok. But when we arrived, the thermostat was set to around 50º, which meant the unit was cold. And it took a while, like maybe 6-8 hours, for the place to get comfortably warm. Again, because this is a basement unit, the walls and floor stay cold even after the inside air is warm, so bring slippers for sure. Also, the owner/manager needs to provide warmer covers for the bed. Then there's the shower/toilet room. The only thing separating the shower from the toilet is the shower curtain. No wall. Not even a shower basin. It's all the same tile floor. And because the floor hasn't been properly sloped, water from the shower gets in front of the toilet, requiring you to use the big provided squeegee to pull the water back toward the drain. With all this said, the location still made for a nice stay. And once the unit got warm, it made for a cozy nest for two.

We enjoyed our stay here. Loved the character of this basement apartment! Right in downtown Salida. Would stay here again. A few things for property manager to note. Listing should say no AC, it didn't bother us during our October stay but it may others. The shower temp was lukewarm, raise the hot water temp asmidgen. Could have used more comfortable bedding, sheets were scratchy, needed more blankets.
