SOUNDSIDE Salvo - North Sand Dollar Ct. - If you're looking for a charming home with views of both ocean and sound, KNIGHTS IN SALVO will come to your rescue.

Located in Wind over Waves community with community sound access and boat ramp. Load your luggage into the convenient luggage lift and send it upstairs while you take a dip in the private pool or relax in the nearby hot tub. The game room is on the first level and features plenty of entertaining options including 39" flat screen TV, and pool table. Poolside snacks can be fixed easily in the game room wet bar with full size refrigerator and microwave.

Two queen bedrooms on the first level share a bathroom, while there are 2 king master bedrooms, each with 32" flat screen TV/DVD combo, on the mid-level along with two more bedrooms that share a bath (1 with 2 singles, 1 with pyramid bunk w/trundle). The top level is home to the king of the master bedrooms with 32" flat screen TV/DVD combo and slider to private soundview deck. The great room will please the group with modern kitchen and comfortable seating in front of the home theater system with 46" flat screen TV.

One vacation in this home and you'll want to spend all of your days and KNIGHTS IN SALVO.

House in need on tlc

Kitchen sparsely stocked with basic needs . Deck king all the way around in need of repairs , nails popping up everywhere. The railings on top floor decks dangerously loose. Fencing around the pool was straight out of the ghetto. It took 3 calls 3 different days to get a response

We had fun regardless

Place was clean when we arrived but definitely there’s things that need some fixing. They really need to take care of the cockroaches especially we had little ones it was concerning. Regardless we had fun on our vacay the location is nice and it’s spacious. We enjoyed the tub! Also on our last day the Heater on the 2nd floor stopped working glad my room was on the third floor. Regardless we had a great time exploring the area but I won’t be returning.

Stay was great!

We really enjoyed our stay at Nights in Salvo. We were nervous because previous reviews stated that the house was dirty and has issues with the AC and pool. The house was very clean upon our arrival and we didn’t have any issues the entire week. We would definitely stay again!

Nice area, but house was not up to par

The house had roaches 😞. We had to clean everything. Sliding door still wasn't fixed to go out to hot tub as in previous comments. We did see an abundance of ants of the decks, and the beds felt like we were sleeping on springs. Thankfully, we didn't spend a lot of time at the house.

Stay somewhere else

This property has way too much deferred maintenance. Upon arrival there was siding missing off the front of the home. Upon entry the home smelled musty. Upstairs there was dog hair and ants. Furniture was broken in the dining room. While maintenance did come and did what they could repair this home did not meet my expectations and I was disappointed. The pictures are beautiful but beware. We rented sheets and the order was incorrect and half our party did not have their sheets the first night. The luggage lift broke after the first night. Half the light bulbs in the dining room were out upon arrival. Im sorry but why would the cleaning crew not notice this ????? The gate on the pool was broken, which again they did come right away and fix but I should not have had to deal with that. The major issue was the the sliding glass door from the game room was completely off track and was a bear to open and close all week, it just needs replaced. Not sure if the owner of the property is not aware or does not want to spend the money but this home is in desperate need of attention. Speaking of game room, the air hockey table is broken, nice in the picture though; the pool table cues are all broken, and the foosball table balls are not original. The washing machine machine needs two cycles to spin correctly and for some reason the clothes still come out smelling musty. The mattresses in the bedrooms need replaced, they are not comfortable. Just choose somewhere else. When I called Surf or Sound I was told that the problems I was describing needed to be repaired in off season and they have been 100% occupied. These issues need to be addressed to make this home comfortable NOW. I told her it was off season just three short months ago and if this home was maintained then it would not have gotten in this condition. Its very sad because you can tell it is a beautiful home, it just needs maintained. Boards are popping up on the decks too and the plastic chairs to sit on the decks are almost all broken. The cookware in the kitchen is also awful. On a nice note -- the shower head in my second floor bath was wonderful :)

We really enjoyed Hatteras Island and the beautiful neighborhood that Knights of Salvo was in.

The house was clean and the pool was clean and the pool was cleaned while we were staying at the property. But the ants were a problem. They were in the cabinets and the freezers. Also, on the second day of our stay the dish washer broke and it was hard to communicate with the realty. We had to finally walk over and talk to someone at the realty. The dishwasher was fixed but it was difficult to get that done. Also, the screen door was broken downstairs- going to the pool and the deck furniture was broken. Overall we enjoyed our stay but these things should be fixed for the price we paid.

Needs some work - Ant problem

There were several concerns with the property. The property has maintenance issues - sliding door in game room doesn’t open/close properly. Basic cleaning was done prior to stay but doesn’t seem to have had a through cleaning recently. Dirty in kitchen cabinets and game room cabinet, doors, windows, stair railing. Biggest issue was major ants inside home that got into food in cabinets on 1st day. Obvious that this has been a ongoing issue due to all ant traps and spray in house. The property managers were responsive to the trash prior guests left and pool issue which was resolved quickly.

Will not stay at this house again

There were alot of ants all over the house, there was one door that was broke, and the air conditioner wasn't working properly. The house was so cold! After getting home we saw a review from someone else at the same house with the same issues except they didnt have any air for a couple days, so the issues were not resolved before we arrived. Will not stay there again.

Hot and Filthy

This property looks great in the pictures that were taken in better days. This home is filthy and falling apart. Chunks of food (& dirt) on windows, floors, & furniture to the point of an ant problem. Doors were broken, dishes were dirty, and the A/C wasn't working for two sweltering nights. Dishwasher was broken and pool was dirty. We spent time mopping floors and cleaning just so we could stay there. It was pretty disgusting. It gives VRBO a bad name.

Was better than expected except for the garage and recycling center across street. Quiet neighbrhd.

We enjoyed our stat at this rental home. #727 was our unit. All amenities were good minus sharp knives and a good can opener. They were provided after requesting them. AC worked well on all floors, almost too cold on lower floors. Might book again if we can't find a closer unit near beach. Difficult walk about 4 blocks then steep sand walkway.

Nice home but in need of some repairs

Nice home accommodated our family of 12 nicely. Other than some basic need for repairs... step cautiously inside first floor door as there is a soft spot that is indicative of water damage... same in 1st floor bathroom. Asked for a light over the range and got one 2 days later... a candle would have provided more illumination. We still managed. Some of the deck furniture is in need of repair or simply replaced. The benches for the table are not safe... the wobble horribly. Had an issue with ants due to the area flooding from heavy persistent rains. Response was immediate. Unfortunately we discovered after we had some food invaded. From then on everything was sealed, stored in fridge or freezers. Access to the house was easy. Check k out a breeze... would consider this home again in the future.
