Too many stairs- did no realize house was on 3 floors.

Difficult to get to beach. Water wasn’t kid friendly. Grandchildren could not ride their buggy boards due to rough waters. Only 1 grocery store that was too far away.

Good Fixer upper! Do yourself a favor and move on!

We have vacationed at the Outterbanks for many years, and this house was totally unacceptable. Nails in all decks sticking up everywhere, children nor adults could go bare footed. Drains slow, half of the light bulbs were burnt out. We could have went to the management office and gotten light bulbs, but who should do maint while on vacation. Structure under hot tub is inadequate, disaster waiting to happen. Gas grill so full of grease, became an inferno when lit. Pool was not cleaned the entire 7 days we were there, we dumped the skimmer basket ourselves. Pool furniture is in terrible condition. Hot tub didn’t appear to have been cleaned upon our arrival. House was somewhat clean. Do yourself a favor and continue searching. We will never again use Surfandsound management company.
