Family made the stay great but the house needs some help.
Overall, the house was nice. There were a few house keeping items that were disappointing. The vents in the house were really dusty, we had to have several lightbulbs replaced, no batteries in the remote in the movie room, the inside of the entrance door was filthy, the blankets and pillows were dirty and stained and just thrown in the closets - some on the floors of the closet, locks on some sliding doors didnt work as well as the lock on the door to front deck of 4th floor. The tv in the 3rd floor handicapped room didn't work. The most disappointing item was there was no gas for the gas fireplace. This was a Thanksgiving week vacation with no fireplace - not good! When I called the rental company they said the gas is filled on Thursdays and would not be filled this week because of Thanksgiving. We checked in on Saturday, so why wasn't it filled before we checked in. It felt like no one actually went and checked the house prior to our checking in. Also, the pool table was terrible.
On the good side, the view was beautiful, the kitchen was well equipped and the dining table was great.
The house is nice but definitely needs some TLC. I would also recommend hiring a new cleaning crew. I didn't care for the response fdom the rental company that most things are taken care of in the spring - then don't rent in the fall!
