We had a wonderful stay at Hacienda Cucuyo! The views are absolutely beautiful, especially from the room—waking up to that scenery was unforgettable. The pool is great, and the long private plunge pool from the room was such a special and relaxing touch.

I recently stayed at Hacienda Cocuyo and overall had a beautiful experience. The location is absolutely breathtaking — the views of the ocean and surrounding hills are unforgettable, especially at sunrise and sunset. If you’re looking for peace, nature, and a place to truly disconnect, this is it.
The staff was warm and welcoming, always willing to help and make sure we were comfortable. The atmosphere is very relaxed and eco-friendly, which gives the place a unique charm. The cabins are rustic but cozy, and you really feel immersed in nature.
The food was good, especially breakfast, and the setting of the restaurant with the open views makes every meal special.

Not only the room, but the entire place was super clean. It was a great experience. We were very well received and the service was delightful. Food and drinks were really nice. The views were something else, we didn't want to leave. We definitely recommend this place to whoever wants to spend a few days away from the city, be relaxed and enjoy nature.

My partner and I saw this hotel when we were figuring out places in Samana and we really loved what we saw on instagram. We stayed for 3 nights/days and when we got to the property, our room had no A/C. They told us that the electricity was out but I was thinking they would have a generator to minimize this inconvenience because when we asked if it can be turned on, they told us that they wouldn’t know when it would come on (again, this was when we checked in so we already paid for all 3 days/nights). Thank goodness the A/C turned on later that day. The lights and Wi-Fi unfortunately, kept turning on and off during our stay. Another thing was as well that housekeeping was only done once, when they asked us but the other nights? No different towels nor change of the bathroom rug.
Our room was one of the ones that overlooked the private pool. The bathroom door wouldn’t close and also the ceiling fan looked very wobbly when turned on.
Pros: VERY quiet, nature is all around you, menu options super delicious, good to disconnect
Cons: besides breakfast, everything you gotta pay, the utilities was lacking and the fact they couldn’t tell us when the A/C would turn on, we would’ve lost our money, essentially
