Eerst moesten we een half uur wachten omdat de eigenaar de boeking niet had gezien. We kregen daarna een zeer eenvoudige en niet erg schone kamer met alleen een tafel en een koelkast. 「We absolutely loved this hotel right in the middle of Santa Catarina Palopó. Away from the busyness of Panajachel but a close drive into town if you need to access things or take the lanchas to the other villages. We took tuk tuks to get around and there was also parking at the hotel. The town itself was super charming and it was also easy to get a private lancha from near the hotel. All the staff was super kind and attentive and the entire hotel was well maintained and spotless. Beautiful...

「I spent one week at Amankaya and had a great time! Fernando is an amazing host that always goes above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need. The location is a bit secluded from everything but theres a boat that can pass by the lakehouse 3x a day which makes accessing all of the other villages very easy.
