"We read some questionable reviews before staying here. I'm not sure if they reviewed the wrong property or what, because we have nothing but good things to say about this place. The rooms were extremely clean. Beds were comfortable. The lobby and restaurants looked very upscale. The pool area was wonderful. The pool was huge and they did a great job maintaining the area (lights all around, very island feel to the pool area). The staff was extremely helpful when we needed more washcloths. They delivered them to the room within minutes. When we went out in the morning, the staff came and cleaned again. The hotel is not brand new, but they have a done a fantastic job maintaining and updating it. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. The sink area in the bathroom was a tad small and we did not have "sheer curtains" to pull over our windows if we didn't want the heavy blinds closed all day (we were on the first floor, so would have liked the sheer blinds to pull while we were in there during the day). Other than those small details, everything was spot on. If you are looking for an affordable, clean, well maintained place to stay in San Diego, stay here!!!!!!"
