When we got to the room and opened the door, there was a sour smell. The room wasn’t very big, and when we asked to change rooms, they told us there were none available. We ended up buying candles to get rid of the odor. Even though we opened the windows before every stay, the smell was still there. If you want housekeeping, you have to pay $75. I don’t mind choosing a room with a balcony, but I can guarantee the window in a balcony room is smaller than the one in your bathroom at home. It really makes you feel claustrophobic.

Pros: -Location: We could walk/take ride-sharing or buses to everywhere we wanted to go -Incredibly clean and new -Super Friendly staff -Bed was comfy -Having the kitchen was awesome for breakfast etc, well stocked Cons: -Washer/Dryer (It's a combo machine) was SO loud, tiny and took 3+ hours just for clothes to be damp still. Smelled awful on arrival. -The process for getting housekeeping was odd. It seemed restrictive - we got asked how long we were staying when we requested it. -Suggestion: add mixing bowl to the kitchen supplies.

Absolutely the best place we have stayed in San Diego. Location was great, the rooms were super fancy, check in was simple and the staff was extremely knowledgeable. We will definitely be back infact we have decided that this is our place going forward!

This is really an extended stay hotel. It’s very modern and beautiful but there were some issues. First of all, while the floor to ceiling windows were lovely, they offered no privacy unless you closed the shades all the time. It’s surrounded by apartment buildings and from the street, you could easily see into the 3rd floor. In terms of cleanliness, there were several things that were disappointing. The shower curtain was moldy. The sink in the bathroom made a bubbling sound like a cauldron and I found an open safety-pin on the floor as well as someone’s clump of hair on the back of the sofa. The WiFi was terrible, dropping several zoom calls. Even on the TV I couldn’t get a consistent signal for my streaming service and was constantly having to restart, disconnect or just use my cellular data on my iPad. The staff were very nice but ultimately unhelpful. I wanted to fully pay for my room prior to my stay and I was sent a link to pay and it said, PAID. But somehow it wasn’t paid at that time and caused a lot of issues. Even with all that, I would stay here again but I expected more from a hotel that was as highly rated by other guests. The location is amazing if you want to do anything by the convention center or even in Coronado.

We had an OUTSTANDING stay at the Sentral. EVERY employee was EXTRA friendly. The bed was AMAZING! The location was PERFECT. We LOVED the Cloud 9 Deli across the street and the grocery store around the corner. It was great to have a kitchen to make our coffee and toast in the morning. We enjoyed the balcony. We LOVED this place and HIGHLY recommend it! Book it. You will thank me! 😀

Stayed at Sentral Gaslamp Quarter and had an amazing experience. The location is unbeatable — right in the heart of downtown and walking distance to everything in the Gaslamp. The building feels modern, secure, and very well maintained. The apartment-style room was spacious, clean, and had everything I needed, especially the full kitchen which made the stay super convenient. Staff was professional and helpful, and the check-in process was smooth. The amenities were a huge plus — especially the rooftop area with great city views. It felt more private and comfortable than a typical hotel. Perfect spot if you want to be close to restaurants, nightlife, and Petco Park while still having a quiet, comfortable place to relax. I’d definitely stay here again.

Centrally located , walking distance to many, option of valet or a parking lot around the corner which we utilized both! Rooftop terrace with a fire pit and amazing rooms that feel luxurious and right at home with everything you need, far more than a typical hotel room! Not to mention the doors and elevators are all code activated so safety is priority! Very helpful staff , very kind. Would stay again!

Super clean hotel and room. Great aesthetics for both. Room was perfect. Came with everything needed. Staff was friendly. Areas for improvement: Bathroom light kept going off while showering; Room had a "clean/chemical" smell but was too strong. Expedia and booking said "private parking available." Maybe I'm unaware that private parking means valet? So only street parking available. Otherwise everything was great. Would definetly stay there again.
