Amazing location

The unit is in a great location. I wanted to do water sports and it’s only a 5 minute walk to rent kayaks, paddle boards etc in the bay. I think it’s a pretty good value considering the location to everything which is very walkable. If you are traveling with a partner, it might be a little tight space wise for more than a few days. If you’re solo it’s a pretty great option.

The unit, cleanliness, and location were perfect for our little getaway. It was just as advertised. The mattress was very comfortable. Our unit didn't have a parking spot but we found a spot just down the block.

Overall it was very enjoyable. Wonderful view and great location. Should be advertised that there is no parking at the accommodation. You have to find parking on a nearby street which can be challenging. The listing says it is 1 bedroom but in reality it is a studio suite. Feel the bathroom needs a refresh. It looked old and needed more hooks to hang towels etc.. Again overall the stay was enjoyable.

Amazing Active Bay Views

A very nice and well stocked 2nd floor studio apartment with an amazing view of the Mission Bay. Perfect location to see the sunrise over the bay and watch unlimited water sports all day along with a great path to walk around the water. Then walk 2 blocks to the ocean beach with beautiful sunsets and an even more active walkway.

Nice Bayfront studio

I really enjoyed this nice spot on the bay. Clean, simple, great view, great location. There was no parking spot for this unit, I parked at El Carmel Point, which was fine. I will stay here again the next time I visit alone, but I always look at Surf Style first when booking PB/MB rentals. Always really nice and great locations

Great views! Nice space!

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights and we enjoyed ourselves. Great views. Easy walk to restaurants and only 3 blocks to the ocean sunset was perfect for us. We cooked our own breakfasts each day and everything worked great. The only thing I would suggest is a firmer bed… not sure how old the mattress is but it was a little too soft for us. We would still return and stay in a few years when we visit again.

Overall we really enjoyed our stay there. We stayed an entire week in the small studio very comfortably. The location was perfect for us on the bay side it’s a little more family friendly and quiet. Only thing I would have liked in the space is having a dresser to unpack clothing. We did have a small issue with the unsupervised neighbor teenage son but was quickly resolved by management. Morning and evening views.. amazing❤️

Beautiful Views, Relaxing Trip

My husband and I stayed here while we attended a wedding in San Diego. The unit is small and the walls are paper thin - you can hear just about everything next door or below you, but it has all of the comforts of home. The view is unbeatable, and being east-facing, it helps cut down on the heat during the last part of the day. Was a wonderful treat to be woken up by the sun and sip our coffee watching the boats bob gently in the bay. Definitely walkable to a number of restaurants, coffee shops, and the beach on either side of the little peninsula there. I thought that we were maybe a little older than the general demographic of people staying in Mission Beach but we had a great time nonetheless!

Lovely Stay at Mission Beach

We enjoyed our stay at Mission Beach! The apartment was immaculately clean and had an amazing view of the bay. We spent a lot of time enjoying the balcony! The location was far enough away from the bars and restaurants to be peaceful but close enough to walk to them, and very safe to walk 'home'. The other three apartments were occupied when we got there and we all were able to enjoy our individual space. The bay side is so much less windy than the ocean side. So glad we were on the bay! The bed was comfy, and bathroom and kitchen were nice. There are no drawers for clothes, though there was a small organizer for hanging some things. That is my only recommendation; a small chest of drawers or a couple of bins for the organizer. Absolutely lovely place and we'd certainly stay again!

Great little place but some things to be aware of

This was a cute little one room apartment with a kitchenette and an awesome view of the bay. It’s perfect to get to both the beach and the Bayside and lots of fun things to do. Definitely a decent price. It was perfect for two people… however, if you have any sort of problems with stairs, be advised that that’s the only way in. Mission Beach is a very tightly packed in bunch of apartments. They are all vacation rentals so you are close to your neighbors. The only bad thing about this place was the fact that your balcony is right next to someone else’s and if they even speak while they’re out there, it’s like they’re in the room with you. You can also see them on the balcony as the blinds over the door do not actually block out all. So there is a little bit of a privacy issue. Perfect View of the SeaWorld fireworks. Be advised there is no parking for this unit and parking is a little tough in Mission Beach.

Absolutely Amazing

Absolutely loved this rental. You can’t beat the location. I didn’t have any issue with parking. Their team was very responsive if any issues came up. The bed was so comfy and I’m kind of a bed snob. (Lol) There were times I didn’t even want to leave the room. Absolutely loved my stay here. I’ll 1000 % be back. It’s a perfect getaway spot for couple or solo traveler. If you’re thinking about staying, do it. You won’t regret it.

Enjoyable stay

Great location on the bay with balcony to enjoy sunrise. Only 2 blocks from the pacific boardwalk. Comfortable accommodations for sleeping.( A few small details could have improved the experience. Kitchen disposal jammed, shower leaked on floor a bit, bathroom sink fills up and doesn’t drain properly, toilet paper roll slides off holder onto floor.) As parking is not included it is suggested to street park on Mission Blvd. The paid public parking lot is exorbitantly expensive- However! We found a free lot a short walk south down the bay walkway at El Carmel St. for day and overnight Perfect! We had a great week there. And would recommend.

Our Stay

We arrived a bit early on the first day, to kind of scope out the area. Once in the VRBO unit, we were happy to see how clean the unit was. Cleaning products left quite a strong odor inside, so we opened the windows and left for a bit. My girlfriend was very excited about the unit and the location and some sun. About 1 hour after arriving at the unit, we heard some loud noises coming from downstairs. I went down to see what was going on and texted Surf Style and was told that there had been a leak and some water damage in the unit directly below us. The construction noise went on until 5:00 PM. The contractor stated that they were done and had one more day the following Monday and Surf Style stated that there wouldn't be any more noise other than some painting on Monday. This was upsetting to us because we paid a lot of money for the 4 nights and was expecting a very nice and quiet stay, especially from construction noise within the building itself. The other issue we had was with the refrigerator. We bought some nice food for our stay. The refrigerator part was not very cold and the freezer part, well our ice cream melted. This was upsetting as well. I texted Surf Style and got a message back to adjust the temperature. I looked at the temp adjustment and it wasn't clear how to adjust it. Either way, some of our food didn't survive. It didn't seem to be any big deal to Surf Style, which again was upsetting.
