Great, safe walking neighborhood in The Marina. Convenient to jogging, restaurants, Pilates. Spin, short rides by uber to downtown and public transportation. Clean!! Comfortable, safe in room, closet, towels, soaps, etc what you expect at a hotel, no frills, great price. Will stay here again

Room was simple but clean. Very friendly and helpful staff. Fridge and microwave provided. Good value for proximity to Union Square. Be aware the street is sketchy at times, but security is good and only 2 blocks to restaurants and shopping.

The Indian gentlemen who run this hotel go above and beyond to help out I am a disabled senior and couldnt have been treater better. My nahhage was carried up the elevator to my room The linens were fresh and the tile bathrooms My baggage was cheerfully carried to my room since I am a disabled senior. As for the comments about the noise and homeless on the street? get earplugs- this is the Tenderloin and enjoy the ambience since you are saving a lot of money. Highly recommended for adventurous travelers who appreciate historical buildings

The property is on the edge of the Pacific Heights neighborhood, so the prices are budget friendly. Glide Church several corner markets, cafes, mail and laundry service shops are nearby. Recommended for the adventerous traveler who doesnt mind experiencing local color and seeing the real San Francisco. The public transportation is excellent, the BART underground train, MUNI buses & streetcars and the iconic cable cars will get you around the city easily. Parking is expensive and with one way streets and Market St cutting thru at an angle, driving downtown can be frustrating. Highly recommended are the great variety of restaurants, close by are Indian, Turkish, Mexican, Salvadorian, Yucatan, Chinese,Japanese, Mongolian , Thai and Nepalese cafes! It has been said that you could eat out everyday of the year in SF and never run out of new places to dine!! If you want to practice your Hindi ,talk to the staff and the Uber and Door Dash drivers who also stay there.

Satisfactory, but know what you're getting

Bare bones, low-cost, but clean and satisfactory Tenderloin hotel. Far more personality than you'll find in your standard Motel 6 type establishment. There is no bathroom within the unit. There appeared to be about 1 or 2 bathrooms per floor (~20 units). Those bathrooms seemed to be pretty inconsistent in terms of locks. But within each bathroom there's a toilet area and a shower area. Things were surprisingly clean when I was there. This could probably be a problem if there were too many people using the bathroom at once, but for a one-night stay, it was fine. As another review pointed out, there's no AC, and no screen on the windows, so it won't be ideal for a summer heatwave. However, there is a heater. We went in September though, so there was no need for either. Bedsheets were all clean and nice. Being able to look out the window at the busy streets of San Francisco was pretty exciting. There's a cafe, a falafel place, multiple corner stores, and much more, immediately outside the hotel. There's also a parking garage around the corner. The hotel was very secure, and only guests were allowed to enter. I love how classic and SF the narrow staircases and stuff were. And yes, there are homeless people in the Tenderloin. Grow up. Overall, definitely satisfactory for a single-night San Francisco trip. But know what you're getting, and don't expect Hilton level amenities.

It was terrible. Staff was nice but other than that NEVER COME HERE. It was dirty and we had to get a whole new set of sheets and pillows. The entrance is extermely dirty because of the homeless people. Also the hotel did not feel safe. I did not feel comfortable leaving my stuff there. BEWARE

Everything what I seen on website was fake and ugly. There were homeless in front of hotel not just one person there were many people it look same skin row city. Many drugs people were in front hotel the fornt door were lock I can't believe it they show on website look so beautiful but in person it look very ugly. NEVER again trust this website

Would not recommend unless if you're desperate for a cheap place but my room had roaches and even with my window closed music was being played till 3am by people hanging out in the street, preventing me from being able to sleep. The bed sheets were dirty as well as the pillow and the TV in the room didn't work. Overall the cleanliness was severely lacking. You get what you pay for here.
