Terrys place is an amazing place to stay in San Ignacio. We were a family of 7 and had plenty of space for everyone. The pool was great. The house was clean and had everything we needed to cook light meals. Extra snacks were a treat. It’s right up the hill from a couple restaurants and a grocery store. Terry even gave us a ride to the market. Thanks Terry! I would recommend her place to anyone.

Wonderful! No complaints! The lodging was perfect for our group of 6 (3 couples). It was well stocked and very clean! Terry was very accommodating, including arranging transportation for excursions and back to airport! Highly recommend!

The facilities were as described and even exceeded our expectations. Terry was an exceptional host. A few issues came up and all were resolved within minutes. (It helps that she lives next door!) The house is at the top of a hill with a good restaurant and a decent supermarket at the bottom. We welcomed the opportunity to get some exercise!

Check in couldn't have been easier. Terry, the host, was in contact with us while we were there and went the extra mile and gave us complimentary snacks and drinks. We didn't have any issues during our short stay. The pool was a great and relaxing amentity, especially after coming back from a tour in the hot month of August. Thank you, Terry, for a memorable stay!

Excellent San Ignacio Choice

This property is extremely clean and pleasant. I felt it was an excellent choice for the price. The above ground pool off a nice deck is clean and refreshing. The bedrooms are all air conditioned and comfortable with comfortable mattresses. The rest of the house is not air conditioned but has numerous fans. We did not have a car and walked into town but the walk back is uphill and we often got a cab or scheduled a ride back especially in the dark.

Great place to stay in San Ignacio!

Perfect home away from home to explore San Ignacio. Located in a great little neighborhood surrounded by beautiful tropical plants and sounds. We had a wonderful stay at Terry’s place. Terry was kind, helpful and attentive. The pool was a definite asset after hot days exploring. Laundry facilities were much appreciated. Short walk to grocery store, town, restaurants etc. Very convenient to have Cayo Expeditions pick us up right at the house for tours. We loved our stay here!

Private and peaceful

The pool was wonderful after a hot day of exploring! The layout was perfect for 2 couples plus 2 teens. Having laundry available was fantastic. Only thing that could have made it better would be access to a barbecue. We'd also highly recommend doing a tour with their tour company, Cayo Inland.

Nice property

We enjoyed our stay at this house just outside of San Ignacio. Three of us, adult friends, each had our own bedroom in a nice property with a great pool. It was a 20 to 25 minute walk in to town, or an inexpensive taxi ride. Communication with the owner was pretty good. We had one issue with a bedroom AC unit not working, and they had it replaced pretty quickly.

Excellent Home and Host

There is a lot of care put into the upkeep of this house, it’s incredibly clean, it’s beautifully appointed and quite welcoming. We felt very safe in the neighborhood and the house. I was in contact with Terry throughout the stay, any questions were answered immediately. They also offer tours, we did not take advantage of this simply because we had plans set already. It would have been a wonderful convenience otherwise. The rooms are big, the bathrooms spacious, hot water was plentiful. The pool is lovely, a welcome retreat after a long day of sightseeing. We really appreciated the ease of checking in and out. We had plenty of fresh towels. The washer and dryer were available for our use, that was a bonus after going on the ATM tour. We were welcomed with a few items in the fridge which we greatly appreciated. I would absolutely recommend the house and would stay there again, we’re already talking about a return trip.

Wonderful

We loved the property. Well stocked and clean. Terry is super responsive and helpful. We also did a tour of Xunantunich and ATM Cave tour with their company, Cayo Inland Expeditions, which were both great. Dimas was our tour guide for Xunantunich and it was our favorite experience. He was very knowledgeable and made the tour a highlight for us. You can walk to the downtown district from the house and can easily walk to Cahal Pech. We saw a toucan in the tree right by the house and enjoyed relaxing at the house. The kids got in the pool daily. Highly recommend!

Excellent host

Since the time of the reservation, our host was very helpful, attentive, and thoughtful through the email communication. Even after the cancellation of the reservation due to the tropical storm Sara, she was very sweet, helpful and understanding!! I would definitely recommend her and her property.

Hilltop Villa

We had a wonderful time in San Ignacio. The check in was simple and the house was clean. We booked our excursions through the owners and received a discount. Onil was our tour guide for all the excursions we did and he was incredibly knowledgeable and fun. The pool was nice to lounge in after a full day of fun in the sun.

Wonderful home for a family

We had a wonderful stay in San Ignacio! Great city with lots to do in the area. This house was a perfect landing spot for our family. The house is spacious and comfortable for a family with kids. The pool is a major bonus as it helped us keep cool on hot days. Terry was wonderful to work with. She was responsive throughout our time there anytime we had questions. I highly recommend staying here to enjoy the San Ignacio area!

Spring Break 2024

We stayed at Terry's house for a portion of our trip. The location was a ways up the hill which was perfect for us. The neighborhood was clean and quiet and the views were fantastic. After exploring the area during the day it was refreshing to comeback and watch the sunset from the pool.

Great location close to town and sites. Owner has a tour company-Cayo Inland Adventure tours which we used to go on excellent excursions. You get a discount if staying at the house. The house was clean with lots of amenities and a refreshing pool for cooling off during the hot days.

Comfortable, clean, and spacious house

Our family of six (2 adults, 4 kids) stayed here for three nights in March 2024. The house had everything we needed. Wi-Fi worked well. There is a covered parking spot right by the entrance. The neighborhood felt very safe with a good amount of privacy. The highlight for our kids was the pool - it was just the right temperature and very clean. Although, we mostly drove to town to eat at restaurants, the kitchen seemed to be well equipped. Terry was a super nice, helpful, and communicative host. We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful stay in San Ignacio!

This house was a perfect choice for our family of four. Terry was so gracious and helpful during our visit. We also booked two full days of tours with the hosts' company - Cayo Inland Expedition - and had two fantastic days. The pool in the backyard was great for cooling off after hot days, and we saw lots of wildlife from the deck too (green parrots, iguanas, and a Pygmy owl!) Easy walk into town for some great restaurants and it was quiet at night in the air conditioned bedrooms. Highly recommend this listing!

Perfect Setting / Perfect Stay

Our stay was perfect! Our host, Terry is wonderful and truly took care of us. Her home is cozy and exactly as pictured. My son and I enjoyed the hammocks as they are situated perfectly to immerse you in the natural surroundings. The bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious and well-appointed. In addition to welcoming us generously, Terry's tour company provided us with the kindest tour guides and reliable transportation to the house and she recommended the most amazing Maya site tour, Tikal, in Guatemala. Overall, just perfect - if it sounds too good to be true - I encourage you to discover for yourself!
