The hotel is perfect for a true beach getaway! Location is ideal with activities and restaurants in walking distance. The staff was friendly and helped coordinate kid-friendly excursions with ease. My 7 year old has already asked to go back for his 10th birthday. The food was also really delicious. Definitely recommend this property and staying on Popoyo beach in general. Definitely rent the atv or a bike to get around faster but most places are within a 30 minute walk.

We had a lovely stay at Hotel Costa Oeste. The rooms were spotless, the staff and owners super friendly and the view priceless. Playa Popoyo is pristine and a great walking beach. Sunsets are spectacular. There is a good restaurant on site and lots of option within walking distance. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.

Everything was very clean, the staff were all so kind and were always present and so helpful. The ocean view is absolutely killer, nothing better than spending the whole trip listening to the sound of the ocean. Breakfast was amazing, also the best cup of coffee I’ve had the whole trip. We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back.

The Staff and management all contributed to a great stay. Any concerns/issues (non working A/C) unit for example, were all attended to promptly. Quiet area of the beach, chill vibes.

Staff were very helpful and courteous. Room was ok, could have had newer towels . They had stains and felt older. The views were beautiful and the pool was great. The only issue we had was, in the pictures, you’re shown beachfront but not the stretch of huge rock between the hotel and the sand. In the morning, you can walk down the rock to the water but in the afternoon when the tide rises, you’re unable to do so. We felt that our beach front holiday was only half usable. Perhaps, it should be noted in advertising about this issue

The property did not meet cleanliness expectations. Upon arrival, it was noticeably dirtier than advertised, which was disappointing. With more thorough cleaning, the stay could have been much better.

Sound of waves

Place is nice, it is for surfers, there is no beach, the road to get to the place is rougher, need a high truck. Waves are high, and loud.

We absolutely loved our stay at Costa Oeste. It is the most beautiful corner of the world, right on a swimmable beach. There are at least 3 (good) restaurants within walking distance, in addition to the fantastic food and cocktails at the hotel. There are also the most gorgeous cats that live there (I fell in love with them). We were there for 4 nights with our two kids (11 and 15) who loved it also. Its calm, peaceful, and heavenly. Thanks to the staff that made it so special for us.

Bad experience

Terrible experience. The attention of the concierge was poor; they had very little knowledge of the area. I had car trouble, and they basically told me that usually when that happens, they don't do anything. It's completely up to the client to and to the guest to find a way to solve the situation. Not even recommend a taxi or transportation guy to take me to where my car was. There's flies all over the food and the eating area. The food was mediocre, the rooms were not cleaned properly (we didn't get our towels changed) and basically there was absolutely no guidance on the area and nearby attractions or hotels etc. It was a very bad experience and I wouldn't recommend it. I definitely would not give the red rating as Aim on Hotels.com.

We loved our stay at Costa Oeste! It was perfect for our family vacation with two kids under 10 years old. The rooms were comfortable (and air conditioned), the breakfast was fantastic, the staff were very friendly, the pool was a hit with the kids, and the beach was stunning. It was hard to leave!
