  • Summary:

    Nicely decorated and furnished unit in the heart of Miramar, an upscale neighborhood just south of Condado, and close to Old San Juan.This unit is a 2 bedroom and 1 bath 3rd story walk up with a spacious living room that can accommodate a total of 8 guests. You will also be able to enjoy a spacious terrace on the 4th floor with this unit.



    The Space:

    This is a very spacious 2 bedroom and 1 bathroom apartment in historic Miramar. It has a large living room, and both bedrooms are comfortable. There is also a small balcony to enjoy the nice breeze, even inside the apartment which has great cross ventilation.



    Guest Access:

    Guests will enjoy an entire private apartment in Miramar, close the Convention Center, Old San Juan and other attractions. There is also an open 4th floor terrace for guests to enjoy.



    The Neighborhood:

    Miramar is a historic neighborhood in San Juan, which is full of large, vintage architectural gems that date back to the 1950's.



    Getting Around:

    Transportation is very convenient at this location. There are bus stops on either side of the street going East or West, plus Uber is super convenient to get around anywhere.



    Other Things to Note:

    -All communication must be on the AirBnB message thread of a confirmed reservation. You must download the app on your phone for all messages to display correctly. Please note I have 40 listings so this is crucial to offer the best service. This will allow me to address questions quickly as the platform identifies you immediately.



    -Please note that Puerto Rico is on Atlantic Standard Time when you need to get in touch with me. If it is off hours, please allow some time for a response or search in the Listing Details and/or AirBnB message thread for the answer to your question.



    -No 3rd party bookings are allowed. The person that books must be present at all times. No information will be shared with anyone other than the person that booked the reservation. If not followed your reservation may be canceled at anytime.



    -No early check in or late check out. If you wish to check in earlier please book the previous night, and if you wish to check out later please book the following night if available. There are many restaurants near the airport and/or the properties where you can enjoy a meal or a drink in while waiting. You could also visit the Mall of San Juan just across from SJU Airport or Plaza Las Americas which is the largest mall in San Juan. Alternatively, you could leave your luggage at Hold my Bags – We keep your bags so you can keep going.



    -Puerto Rico’s infrastructure suffers from spontaneous outages. That being said-power, water and internet may suffer an outage during your stay. If it is essential that you have these services uninterrupted be sure to book one of the listings that has a generator; otherwise, I recommend booking a hotel. No refunds will be granted for power, water or internet outages.



    -Some listings have fees depending on the amount of guests to account for additional expenditures with the increased amount of guests. If you do not book for the correct amount of guests your reservation may be canceled at anytime.



    -We also certain amenities per the amount of nights and guests. If you do not put the correct amount of guests you may be missing some of these for your stay.



    -We provide paper towel and toilet paper for your arrival and a few days after. If these run out guests must buy their own.



    -Payment processing is handled by AirBnB, so all inquiries must be directed to them including partial payments, payment dates, etc.



    Interaction with Guests:

    This unit is a self check-in and check-out process, so I usually do not meet guests. However, I am always checking up on my units and/or doing some touch ups, so I might meet some guests. Nevertheless, I live close by and am available via AirBnB message, text message, whats app or a phone call.

Location was great, close to everything we wanted to do.. Spacious, but no shower knob ( it was broken) so couldn't shower with hot water and there were roaches. Parking was also tough at times.

Not what I expected

The place was not clean, it was infested with roaches, the toilet was leaking, the split of one of the rooms was not working. Told the owner and he said he was going to send someone to fix it and never did.

Upon arrival stairwell was unclean, ebtry to apt dirty bedding, towels on the floor. Burn holes in the counter and on the kitchen chairs. I texted host Jose to inform took 2 hrs to actually respond with a resolve, he stated 'there was confusion with schedule we should go out fir sinner and cleaner will come thru and get it done' by that point due to.lack of response we found other acxommodations. I informed Jose and no response. Next day i got a 'hope you are enjoying your stay' i recopied my previous message. No response. I am hopeful the refund will be in full.

Not a great place to stay.

NO hot water in shower no matter how hard we tried so 2 days with no shower! Walls/ Sheetrock are coming apart in every room, front door deadbolt lock-top lock-very hard to open. No sound on tv no matter what we tried. Lighting terrible in bedrooms. No blankets on king bed nor anywhere to be found to use. so could not use air conditioning or it would be too cold. kitchen countertop is burned in one area. Parking is very hard to get close to unit. We had to park blocks away. The stairs up to unit are steep and you need to be in good shape to do. Not an easy feat to go up to unit. No luggage racks as described to use.

Bugs, Broken Furniture, Rooted Walls, Sketchy Area...Be Warned!

NOTE: LONG REVIEW, BUT YOU CAN'T SAY YOU WEREN'T WARNED!! I ignored other reviews because the pics look good. The pics are misleading-probably taken when the place was new. At first glance, seems ok, but this place is unsafe and unsanitary. Kitchen, bedrooms, and bathroom look pretty decent...But, then the dilapidated futon/couch and rotted walls in the living room made that room literally unusable. The killer was the roaches and other biting bugs...they took over!! We were afraid to sit, stand, or even have our things in there. After a few bites, we knew we could not sleep there, so we immediately left, let the owner know about the issues and requested a full refund. Jose initially refused to respond to our requests, so we contacted VRBO. It was such a hassle getting Jose and VRBO to honor our refund request even with the video and pics we sent...I was visiting for work, and it literally took 3-5 hours of our 1st day to get this property issue settled!! So inconvenient...In the end, VRBO allowed the owner to keep 1 night of our fees, even though we never stayed...WHY??? Because the owner delayed a response until the next day AND updated our reservation making it appear as if we stayed 1 night instead of canceling our reservation as requested...sneaky. Plus, VRBO says crawling and biting bugs, inoperable and unsafe furniture, and rotting walls are "not major issues according to their policies". Shame on the owner for delaying a response long enough to keep 1 night of fees to avoid providing a full refund knowing we never stayed and curse him for keeping this place open for rent knowing the horrible state of the sofa, walls, and bugs. Shame on VRBO for allowing owners to offer a property with this level of unsafe and unsanitary conditions. Travelers, I have given an honest review of my experience. I have no reason to lie-If my experience were great, I would have said so. Read other reviews, you will see what I say is true. Do yourself a favor-Find another property so you can enjoy your stay. This one isn't worth the trouble.

Too good to be true

Our flight was delayed and so we didn’t check in until 930. However, they did not send us the information for the code box until I called them and was standing outside with my 4 children. They sent it immediately after the call and we walked up to the 3rd floor, which is a troop with so many little kids and luggage. ( they should advertise this is a 3rd floor walk up). When we entered the apartment, it looked like the online photos. However, they do not accurately depict the condition of certain things. For example, the couch looks nice in photos, in reality it is straight springs with fabric over them. Not even suitable to sit on to watch tv. They provide soap, but the dispenser was broken, only supplied 1 trash bag for a week stay with 6 people. They did provide enough towels. And the beds were comfortable. They also had a pullout bed but there were no sheets on it. So we found them in the closet and made the bed. The water is very cold in the shower, you have to turn the sink on to get the water warm but if you turn it off the water gets cold again. The shampoo conditioner and soap were good although it was really hard to get it out of our hair because the water pressure is SO low. ACs work well. I could have dealt with all of this expect after we checked out, they tried to send us a bill for extra cleaning for 1. Sand and dirt that was in the shower (normal wear & tear) 2. Dirt in one of the sheets and a towel (also normal wear and tear) and because when they swept the extra room my kids stayed in they had dirt and some clothes and toys they left behind and some empty water bottles that must have gotten pushed under one of the beds. I did not complain about all of the little things that were wrong because they’re human. It’s a house and things happen, but I expect the same courtesy as a client. You can’t expect us NOT to rate you on the same level as a 5 star hotel, but then want to rate us as if we are not humans, on vacation with children. I would NOT rent from them ever again.

Beautiful Apartment in a Beautiful City

Our apartment was located in downtown San Juan. The apartment was so clean and beautiful. We loved our stay. The only complaint we have, was our neighbors were so noisy. They were very inconsiderate and played music at 6am. They arrived when we were on day 7 of 9. Nothing to do with the owner of our apartment but they were clearly tourist too and it sounded like they were in the same room with us they were so loud. Other than that, we had no complaints and give this a 5 star!

Very nice!

Communication with owner was excellent, after finding out how to use the water the showers were nice. The house was clean! They provided Walmart bags under the sink for if you need to go (cause you have to pay for bags ) I didn’t know ahead of time but they are there for you! Coffee pot, toaster over , microwave and stove! Just what you need! Parking is a little rough at times but not too bad. We did have our car broken into but after the police came we found out our rental car was popular right now but this is not the owners fault at all. The neighbors are loud my daughter and I can sleep through anything however it got cold with only one blanket each on the bed being they were thin so we did go buy more blankets at the store so maybe take blankets if you need more than a thin blanket The 3 flights of stairs were not a problem for us but might be for others. All in all I will stay again

Well Worth it

place is clean and ac is and nice beds make it a home away from home. Parking wasn't that bad at all. Just a short walk at most. Netflix and wifi was great. apartment is on the 3rd Floor so you will get your exercise. People in the neighborhood were friendly and it was safe.

As advertised. We enjoyed the accommodations.

Affordable and as advertised. A few minor hiccups with power issues intermittently for one day and cold shower. We also brought our own towels which we didn’t mind doing. Kitchen stocked well for preparing meals. Would definitely recommend and stay here again. Host Jose was very accessible and accommodating.

Home away from home.

At first I was nervous when I Google the outside of the property but the inside was exactly as shown in the pictures. The property is located in a more popular neighborhood, which was ok with me because I grew up in the inner city. It is 5 mins away from Condado Beach which was perfect for short scooter rides to watch the sun set. There was a store right at the end of the street which made it very convenient, also walmart, walgreens and other stores were no more than 8 mins away. The small problem I had was that my family and I were staying for a week and was only provided 1 towel and no wash clothes. The hot water in the shower is tricky you must turn the hot water in the bathroom sink and let it run while showering. Once we figured that out it was great. Also I'm not sure if there is wifi. We couldn't get it to work. All these things I did feel were minor and would stay again now that I'm familiar with the property. Also the property manager was available anytime I called to guide me through any situation I had. I wouldn't recommend it for elderly or handicap; well not the apartment I stayed in. I was on the 3rd floor. So just make sure when you book, you let Jose know if you need accommodations. He does have apartments on first floor.

Nice apartment, convenient location

The apartment was nice and in a central location with numerous restaurants within walking distance. There were 5 in our family and when we arrived, we only had two towels. However, Jose was able to quickly rectify the situation the following day. We also had trouble getting hot water for showers, but, again, Jose responded quickly and we were able to figure everything out. We were always able to find nearby street parking and many of our activities in San Juan were within a 15 minute drive. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed the few times we cooked dinner. After a bit of a bumpy beginning, we were very happy with our stay.
