We stayed for 4 nights. The bed and room were clean and comfortable. The TV was nice and worked great with Netflix and other apps. Great air conditioning. The front desk agents were nice and easy to reach. Free parking was appreciated.
Those are the only positives I can come up with.
There isn't hot water in the showers. It gets like room temperature at best. I complained to the front desk but they just told me to let it run for a long time to see if it would get hot. It never did. They did offer to send up a maintenance person, and I let them try to fix it one time. No improvement. Based upon the number of reviews that say there's no hot water, I'm pretty sure they can't do anything and it's actually just a problem with the way that the solar hot water system is set up. Unacceptable for the price of the hotel room.
The hotel is next to a night club so you can hear loud music and people yelling until early morning hours on the weekend.
The Wi-Fi is slow and unreliable.
It's in a pretty bad location, too. For one, there really isn't anything to do in the area. There are a couple restaurants, but those that are open have very limited hours. Additionally, the area seems to be a bit unsafe. I'm not just saying that as a sheltered American, some of the locals we spoke to said to be careful because we were staying in an unsafe area. The rooms themselves are behind a locked gate and a locked door to get into the building, so that helped us feel safe in our hotel room.

The place was a dump. The pictures of the building and rooms are 100% fake. The building is on a hill that you have to walk to from a separate building where you check in. The sidewalks are cracked, broken, uneven, and pitted. Hell of a walk with suitcases. The room was tiny with no where to put luggage much less any room to walk around the bed. I’m not even sure the room was cleaned. There was a little packet for cotton balls, nail file and ? that was open and laying on a little table in the corner. We kept the curtain closed so the person on a balcony across the street could not see in. Definitely not worth $228 especially having to climb narrow stairs to the 3rd floor with all our luggage. On Sunday there were piles of sheets and towels wrapped in plastic and blocking the way on the landings as we tried to get out of the building. We know from talking with others on the cruise that there were more affordable and much nicer places in Old San Juan with lots of amenities. Live and learn.

First receptionist was sort of rude maybe is their culture. But the worse was the room my closest is bigger one small night stand, no room for even the suitcase. What really bothered me all the rules they place on the room. Can’t use washcloths to clean face gave us two small packets to wipe face but were dry or get charge $35, can’t flush paper on toilet get fine to unclog, there were so many rules but the worse was the room look like they were doing construction on it. Not happy at all. The room was $210 per night.

Don’t even stay there . Ring the doorbell like 10 times before someone open the door then receptionist tell me she was busy doing nothing. Just sit on her phone.

The hotel is overpriced in our opinion. No elevator and basic services only. It shares reception with a hostel and has a bit of a hostel feel. The double bed was fairly small for two adults. For the same price, which was over $200 for a night, we generally get a better quality hotel.
