Fantastic place exactly as described. It is 'up north' so be prepared for a 35 minute cart ride from the airport. Well worth it for the pool, beach, and view

Fantastic house on San Pedro

The house was fantastic. It was in a quiet part of the island which we enjoyed, but easy to get into town. The ocean directly behind the was beautiful and we loved having a private pool and access to kayaks. We would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful stay

We truly enjoyed our stay despite debris on the beach which Adam and his son were very prompt to clean up. Adam was a great help and setup my husband and his brother on some amazing fishing expedition. Can wait to come back and visit 😊!!

Best place on the Island

Adam, the care taker, is amazing.. We have been to San Pedro about a dozen times and multiple at this location.. It is the best.. Don't look anywhere else.

Holiday vacation in paradise

I can’t say enough wonderful things about this house, Adam and the property management company. We had several cancelled flights both trying to get there and get back to the US and they were so helpful getting our flights to and from the island changed and accommodating us. Adam was so helpful with anything we needed and the house was so beautiful. What an amazing place to stay.

The Perfect Vacation!

From the moment we got to the house we were taken care of. Adam met us outside to help us get all settled in. The home was beautiful and came equipped with everything our family of 6 needed for our vacation. Everything was beautiful from the inside-out. We enjoyed the pool, the dock, and the absolute beautiful views from inside and outside the home. Helen and Adam made sure the home stayed clean, the beach was raked, and pool cleaned every morning. The food Helen prepared for us was some of the best food we ever ate. Adam set us up fishing poles to fish off of the pier. I highly recommend to anyone who wants a perfect and stress free vacation for your family and kids.

Our Own Little Slice of Paradise

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved our stay at Anil Mar. We booked a private boat charter from the airport, which brought us right to our private dock. It was magical! Dony and Fanny met us at the house. They were so kind and attentive during our stay. The golf cart was conveniently waiting for us at the house. My daughters loved the pool and the inflatable toys. My favorite part was walking out to the dock every morning with my cup of tea and watching the fish, rays, and dolphins that would visit us every morning. It is a long drive to San Pedro on a bumpy road, but we loved it! We preferred being away from the busy town. It felt like paradise!

Beautiful property

Property and house were well maintained. We enjoyed fishing off the dock and kayaking. The best part of the vacation was Adam. He netted us bait for fishing and kept the pool clean. He assisted us when our golf cart blew a tire and made sure we had a new cart as soon as possible. Normally we rent a different house each year in Belize but we all agreed that we are returning to Anil Mar.

Quiet Retreat

We couldn't have enjoyed our stay more. First of all, Adam, the caretaker, and his wife Hellen are top notch! Adam made sure we had everything we needed daily. Hellen and her cooking, not to be missed! We were there for almost two weeks and could have easily stayed another two. Adam and his brother Felix took us out for a day of snorkeling, fishing, watching dolphins and feeding the tarpin. That was by far the highlight of the trip. The home is equipped for all your needs. The pool is fantastic! Probably the largest pool we've had at a home rental yet. We always bring pool floaties with us but didn't even need them because the home was more than well equipped. Thank you for a wonderful and relaxing break!

Fabulous getaway

Añil Mar is a beautiful beach cottage on an even more beautiful beachfront property. The pool was a great way to begin and end the day, and driving the golf cart to dinner each night was an adventure. My favorite was coffee (generously provided by the host) on the porch each morning. The only negative is the sargasso grass covering the beaches, and unfortunately, we could not use the pier because it was being replaced during our stay. I suspect that is the best place for coffee in the morning and drinks in the evening! I gave a 4 on accuracy of posting because we were unaware of the pier construction until we arrived, and we had selected this house over some of the others because of the private pier and its palapa.

Located just north of San Pedro it was outside of the hustle and bustle but very easy to access everything.Adam, the caretaker, was very helpful and knowledgeable. The addition of the dogs was just amazing for our kids.The house was amazing. I read previous reviews and understood the first floor wasn't connected to the second floor internally. One of our kids just slept on the pull-out couch as we weren't comfortable having that much separation. The kitchen was completely stocked and the views out the windows were breath taking.We weren't able to swim in the water out by the docks so it was nice to have the pool to enjoy.We would come back here in a heartbeat!!

5-Nights at Anil Mar

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My husband, two boys (ages 6 and 9) and in-laws stayed at Anil Mar January 24-29. Adam, the caretaker, was so friendly and helpful. My boys loved playing with his 4 dogs. The house is very well kept and you cannot beat the beautiful pool and private beach. By golf cart, it does take about 45 minutes to get downtown from Anil Mar so you need to plan shopping/food accordingly. Much of the drive is a dirt road with many potholes so it's a bumpy ride.

The house has a great vacation flow, except the third bedroom is in a walkout basement with no interior connection. The house was clean, kitchen well equipped, and a comfortable living area. Simon at Sunrise was quite accommodating and the caretaker, Adam worked to meet our needs for the week. Pros: great layout in the main house, beautiful views, private. Cons: awkward 3rd bedroom, far from town, restricted access to swimming and snorkeling due to Mexico Rocks Preserve

Booking company was a tremendous help and helped to arranged everything from transportation to flights, to excursions; the house was terrific great layout and well equipped. Only partial issue we had was that the house was much further north than we realized at the time of booking. In the end was not an major issue as much as an inconvenience. Adam was a tremendous help and did everything possible to make our stay as enjoyable as it could be. We traveled in October towards the end of the rainy season, mosquitos are definitely an issue island wide, more so than we realized, back insect repellent

Reviewer Comments: Simon and the crew at Sunrise Property Management were absolutely the best! they took care of the flights from Belize City to the Island, took care of the golf cart's (they were waiting for us at the rental). The house was exactly as described, cleaned and well maintained, we had one issue with the air conditioner downstairs (on a Sunday) but they had it fixed the next morning. The caretaker of the property Adam took great care of us, we booked snorkeling and fishing with him and it was great! We had Helen prepared several meals for us, delicious!Overall we had a great vacation and really enjoyed our stay Anil Mar. Our experience with Sunrise Property was great and hope to use them again in the future.

Where dreams come true!

Where do you begin…. From the time we stepped off the San Pedro Express Water Taxi and were greeted by our driver to take us to Anil Mar, our group was in awe. This was our first time in Belize and it offered more than we could have imagined. The house was even better than the photos. Adam the concierge for the home went above and beyond to make us feel Comfortable. We were greeted by him every morning as we drank coffee on the porch and he made sure the pool was impeccably clean. Our group got to know Adam and Hellen and truly enjoyed their hospitality. You have to ask Adam to make his homemade ceviche! It’s out of this world!! Tears fell as we had to leave Belize today. We left a part of our heart that and are already planning next years adventure back to Anil Mar and can’t wait to see Adam and his doggies that we all spoiled rotten!! Anil Mar is a fantastic property! You won’t be disappointed!!
