Sanary-sur-Mer, 13 km from Toulon and 49 km from Marseille, with its authentic typical Mediterranean fishing port, its pedestrian streets lined with small shops, its good restaurants and its pretty squares cooled by fountains, is a renowned tourist town, both relaxing and lively, where you will be sure to have a good holiday whatever the season !
It offers a huge variety of colourful landscapes and natural sandy beaches (Portissol, Plage Dorée, La Gorguette, Bonnegrâce, Beaucours...) in a sunny setting most of the year. Many activities are at your disposal: sailing, scuba diving, tennis, climbing, hiking, fishing, cinema, gaming casino... not to mention the inevitable sea and sun bathing! The city, whose market was voted in 2018 "the most beautiful market in France", offers you the best of local products as well as fresh fish from the fishermen and fresh flowers every morning on the port. In the summer you can also enjoy a night market, offering handicrafts. Many sea excursions leave from the port to discover marine animals (whales, sperm whales, dolphins...) but also the natural beauty of the islands (Porquerolles, Les Embiez, Bendor) and the Calanques of Cassis!
