The air con was not cold and we had to request for a change of room. Internet was slow. Overall the room was clean and comfortable but I saw a cockroach in the room

Sandakan stop over
Liked hotel and helpful staff. Nothing immediately local but frequent local buses which run til 8.30/9pm back take you to Sandakan centre (RMS .70) where you can get good selection of foods and drinks. Lots of shopping malls. Sepilok(Orangutans and Honeybears) Labuk(Proboscis monkeys) Australian war memorial and Heritage trail were good. Only waste of time and money was Gomantong Bat caves. 4hrs from Sandakan, my camera could not get anything due to it's great size and darkness. Maybe nighttime from nearer stopover would be better. Next to hotel is a Ten pin bowling alley where multi national food is available until 10. Very handy. Can't hear it from hotel. I booked 6 nights but 4 would be enough if sights were more efficiently managed. No complaints with hotel.

Really good standard of accommodation and service at this price. But, the flask of hot water, although welcome, was no substitute for a kettle in the room!
Dear Sir, on behalf of Hotel Ramai staffs we would like to thank you for staying with us. We are looking into your request and our manager have agreed to place a kettle in the room. We would hope to see you again.
