Chitkul is a small village located in the Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh, India. It is situated at an altitude of 3,450 meters above sea level and is the last inhabited village near the Indo-Tibetan border. Chitkul is a popular tourist destination because of its natural beauty, serene surroundings, and panoramic views of the Himalayas.
Some of the popular tourist attractions in Chitkul include:
1. Chitkul Village - The village itself is a picturesque location with traditional wooden architecture and scenic views of the surrounding mountains.
2. Baspa River - The Baspa River flows through Chitkul and is a great spot for fishing and picnicking.
3. Mathi Temple - The Mathi Temple is a popular religious site in Chitkul and is dedicated to the local goddess, Mathi.
