We were pleased to find a bright, well decorated place with the space we needed. That and on the beach were the high points.
-We were appreciative of the gift basket and condolence card. Kind gestures are heartwarming.
-Loved the open doors to the surf from LR/BR.
-Pool area, not inviting=unused.
-Cleaning needed to be done. For the terribly inflated price we paid (short notice, few options, needed the get away because of a recent family tragedy) it should have been perfect! Having to clean literally made me cry!
-Had to clean sticky spotted woodwork, cupboards and knobs with food on.
-Dirty floor (lost a puzzle piece under table, ewww! Gave up looking)
-Very dusty fans and walls in bedrooms. My daughter's allergic to dust and unfortunately couldn't use her fan in the back bedroom. She had issues as a result.
-Had to wash soap dishes and second bathroom toilet upon arrival.
-Those beautifully pictured pink couches and chair were in BAD need of cleaning!
-Had to wash load of kitchenware before we using them.
-Yellow coverlet in one bedroom stained and in bad need of cleaning! Pillows on beds seen after having to strip the sheets...ewww! Need pillow protectors that can be washed.
-Stripping beds, starting a load of laundry...we NEVER should have had to do for what we paid!!! Where's the fee WE should get for what we all did??? And then be out by 10A.M. Bad start to last day. I'm confident we left it cleaner than when we came. I don't like to be a complainer and we really loved the space, it's just having to clean AND pay so much that I find VERY VERY wrong. For what we paid per day including extra fees, the service should have taken care of it all and made sure it was all perfect before we came.
We stay in very luxury resorts and don't pay that much and would never have to do our own cleaning, stripping beds and laundry. Another issue was having to purchase our own 4 beach chairs which cost $25-50 each. After a couple days a neighbor said there was a locker of stuff we could use. It's odor was disgusting and I would never use anything in it! If it had been ok though, it would have been nice to know before.
Seriously, kindness is at the top of my list and I feel terrible having to write these negative things but it needs to be known and improved. I actually feel taken advantage of and very sad about that.
