A fantastic couples long weekend away. Great service from reception (even before we arrived), the restaurant and pool service. The massage in the spa was one of the best my wife has had. The food was fantastic, the pool was brilliant a fantastic place to relax... we are definitely coming back and next time we will bring the children.
Lovely quiet location. We were upgraded to a suite which was lovely but not so good having to walk across the road to the main hotel for food, indoor pool, entertainment etc
Fantastic breakfast and tables not squashed together but didn't manage to eat dinner as it was fully booked both times we tried. Lovely large pool but too cold for us in early April. Ask for a room that gets sun as we had none on ours.
I would like to share some aspects of my and my husband's stay throughout our stay .
When we arrived in front of the building, we were pleasantly surprised. A new building, beautiful on the outside as well as on the inside, with quite a few facilities. The reception served us with a glass of cold lemonade, which I found to be a very nice gesture.
They handed us the keys, and we were eager to see the room. When we opened the door, a strong unpleasant smell was noticeable. We didn't pay much attention to this. It was something minor for us. The room seemed very spacious, with a rather beautiful view of the pool.
However, I was unpleasantly surprised when I saw a lot of hair in the bathroom, both in the corners and on the towel, as well as a cockroach near the round drain in the bathroom. We didn't want to ruin our vacation, thinking that this could happen to anyone.
We called the reception a few hours later because we needed an iron. They said they would send someone from housekeeping to bring it to us. I believe we waited about 40 minutes for someone to come and bring us what we needed.
We wanted to take a shower, but the water pressure was very low, and the water was very hot. When we tried to adjust it to a normal temperature for showering, it either became too cold or too hot. We called the reception to tell them that it was impossible for us to take a shower, but unfortunately, nothing was resolved, leaving us to decide whether to take a shower or not with that water.
Hotel is located near the beach, as well as various supermarkets.
Entertainment was excellent during the week.
Food was of a good quality, from breakfast, lunch and dinner
Good location one street back from beach in a residential area. Excellent staff and breakfast. Fitness room a little limited; some dumbbells would be useful.

Well done to the Hipocampo Palace Spa
We have stayed at the Hipocampo Palace before, my wife and I enjoyed it so much we returned again this year.From the start to the end it was amazing. All the staff from Reception, restaurant and to the house keeping it was faultless.The only negative comment I have is to say 2 weeks went by so quickly, time flies when your having fun . Well done to all at hotel we shall return.
Booked at short notice for 3 nights. Lovely hotel we were upgraded to a suite.
Staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We only booked bed and breakfast. Breakfast was very good with lots of choice.
Hotel grounds were in good condition.
Despite being fully booked we had no trouble getting sun beds by the pool. Absolutely perfect short break and we will come back.
Very clean anywhere.Staffs were friendly.Just to add about restaurant hostess service some not too welcoming to their guests and not observing etiquet when bringing water bottle and should pour it to the glass.
A three night stay at this hotel and their service truly blew me away. Pro-active and extremely considerate. As an example, I arrived late on Thursday evening and even though I had missed dinner they offered to bring to my room some food. It consisted of a large and delicious salad, a charcuterie plate with cheese, bread rolls and fruit. Then on the day of my departure, as I was leaving very early they offered me an early breakfast. Their attention to service was impeccable. As for the room the bed was very comfortable and the cleanliness was 10 out of 10. Would highly recommend it.
Booked through Expedia for myself and my 17 year old daughter. Expedia require you to state child's age and yet hotel charged me nearly 300 euros extra. Both companies then continued to blame each other rather than recognise the inconvenience and extreme cost to a customer. Will not book through Expedia again or this hotel chain. Bad communication and I'm greatly out of pocket.
The building is beautiful but feels old-fashioned and sparsely furnished, giving it an empty and ghostly atmosphere. Despite its quietness, you were consistently awakened at 8am by pool bar cleaning or noise from ping-pong players near your room. The hotel's location is set back from the beach and town center, situated on a busy route with traffic noise. It's also far from a suitable part of the beach for swimming.
The pool is large but shallow, more like a giant paddling pool. Water cleanliness is an issue, as debris accumulates throughout the day. Entertainment is lacking, with minimal adult and child activity slots, and the activity leader isn't proficient. The "mini disco" is disappointing, lacking choreography. While the food is decent, there isn't much variety, especially for non-meat options, and the poolside food is subpar.
Considering the price, including a high child supplement of €100 per night per child, the value for money is low. An incident with children's entertainment reveals poor service: painting on Hipocampo t-shirts resulted in an unexpected €10 charge per t-shirt, not clearly communicated beforehand. This lack of transparency and staff inflexibility are unsatisfactory for a supposedly 5-star hotel.

en primer lugar, me gustaría agradecerles por mi estancia en su hotel. La calidad de su establecimiento y de sus servicios me ha agradado en general. Sin embargo, deseo plantear un tema que podría ser relevante para muchos huéspedes.
En el pasado, he estado en numerosos hoteles de 5 estrellas, donde las máquinas de café en las habitaciones estaban disponibles como estándar, acompañadas de suficientes cápsulas de café, así como leche y azúcar, generalmente de forma gratuita. Por lo tanto, me sorprendió un poco que en su hotel se indicara que las cápsulas adicionales tienen un costo.
Particularmente en la hotelería de alta gama, los huéspedes esperan un cierto nivel de comodidades, y para muchos eso incluye el uso ilimitado de las máquinas de café y los artículos correspondientes.
