After staying a night on Tuesday, I decided to come back and stay another night. This is a great little place. The staff is kind, rooms are clean, location is fabulous... I will gladly be staying here again in the future
What a wonderful find the Agave Inn was! Such lovely, supportive staff and the place is squeaky clean and tidy. It's a small, locally-owned place, but that seems to add to its appeal. It's ideally located to walk to places in and around town-- coffee/bakery 2 steps away, 3-4 great restaurants 2 blocks away, Trader Joes within 0.3 miles.. After spending inordinate amounts of money at higher-priced hotel chains and B-and B's in SB , with mediocre , lackluster experiences, we are definitely coming back to the Agave Inn.
We had a very comfortable weekend stay. Great location! The room was very clean and we slept well on the comfortable beds. The area was surprisingly quiet considering it’s located on a main road. But that made it easy to get gas and meals. One morning we took a pleasant walk two blocks to Whole Foods and enjoyed our breakfast there. The location is right off of the freeway. I would definitely stay there again.
Just stayed for one night but was perfect for me. Clean and safe. A little farther away from the main downtown area of SB but still walkable options in the area.
Our room was very clean and well set up, with everything we needed for our one night's stay. The shower was also great and the bed very comfortable. And there was a really good Thai restaurant a few minutes' walk away, and a nice bakery just down the street for breakfast. All in all a really great place for our overnight stay.
This was a boutique hotel, very small. They were very clear about late check-in, which was nice. I felt a little bit uncomfortable with the parking situation, but it was OK when you arrive at night I wasn’t sure about the safety of the neighborhood however it was fine compared to downtown. It was much better actually there were no homeless people around the parking lots / Santa Barbara was very disappointing for us as it felt very unsafe at night downtown tons of homeless people tons of drinking and stuff downtown not family friendly at all which that’s kind of the vibe we were looking for we were gonna stay the next day and do things in Santa Barbara but we ended up leaving because it just didn’t feel very great about the town in general. However, the hotel is several miles from downtown and it has several restaurants around it. I would suggest going to those instead of going downtown because this is actually a much better area.

Cute little room. Near a locals watering hole called the Tiburon which was terrific. Not really close to anything else. The staff was very friendly.
It’s a small property with minimal parking but the rooms are cute and clean. The mattress might need to be replaced I had a hard time with my back in the morning but you have lots of stores around if you want to explore.

Clean, practical and beautiful hotel!
I enjoyed the virtual check in!
Another benefit was how close it was to a grocery store.
This is an older hotel. And parking can be an issue. I stayed in a larger room on the first floor. The veiw was a concrete wall from next door. But the room was clean. The kitchen and refrigerator were in great condition. There's restaurants , coffee and a grocery store all within walking. I would stay there again
My stay at The Agave Inn was very nice. The room was clean and tidy. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is located in a nice neighborhood, with amenities in walking distance.
I loved the “Palm Springs retro vibe.” It was well-appointed, clean and nicely decorated without too much fuss. I prefer properties like this as opposed to the huge corporate hotels!
