“It is an architecturally unique structure. I can't speak for all the rooms, obviously, but my room (traveling alone) with a single king-size bed felt a bit cramped. The room consists of a "living room" with a couch for additional people to sleep (I guess), but the overall layout was a bit awkward to me. The bathroom was also relatively small. The pool was closed (March 28-29), but the Jacuzzi was on. There was live music, which I missed (ending around 10 PM). Continental breakfast was a bit of a……

“Front desk staff often not well informed and there was attitude a couple times instead of courteousness. Cleaning staff making loud banging noises by letting hotel room doors slam shut. Unsafe curbs of uneven cement between hotel stairs and parking area. Rooms dark, poor lighting making it hard to see when packing. Otherwise it’s a nice place with beautiful decor and close to plaza. ”

“Clean room, old building, recently remodeled pool area that was awesome! “Living room” great for happy hour (get there before 6pm). Within walking distance of the town square. Great options for in-room service, not any more expensive than the nearby restaurants.”

“La Fonda is completing some renovations, so that was the only surprise at check in. Would have appreciated a notice before arrival. Lobby bar closes at 9 pm, a little early on a Friday/Saturday night. ”

“Amazing staff! We stayed 7 nights, and we traveled with someone in a wheelchair. The staff/property made sure that we had a room that was accommodating for our special need person. We loved that the property uses text messages for any things we needed for our room or our stay. They responded quickly it made it so much easier to enjoy our trip. The only thing we didnt like was that the room was a bit outdated and the carpet had an odor. But even with that the bed was comfortable and the sheets……

“Front desk was helpful. Wait staff needs training, ex. Long waits for service, inefficient, unprofessional. Patio service in our room was unusable due to lack of cleanliness and ruined chair cushions. Housekeeping staff was excellent. Pool was clean, but pool lounge chair cushions need replacing- very shabby, stained, ripped. Spa was nice, however some tattered towels should be changed out. ”

“Great location. Be sure to double check parking fees. Info is inconsistent between staff, signage and online (i.e., pool & restaurant hours; no gift shop). Feels a little neglected overall. Room was dated but clean. Mattress was awful- like a stack of mats. Coffee pot tasted old but lobby coffee was pretty good. Restaurant breakfast was great and the staff there was amazing. Very attentive and friendly. Housekeeping was also great. Front desk staff was ok. Most were nice but they shared……

“The $30 incidental fee is ridiculous. You have to go to the offsite properties in order to use the gym the pool and the hot tub. They have a bar there, but there is no breakfast. I probably won't stay there again. The room was nice and clean and the front desk person was great.”
