The accommodation is really nice, and our double room was a good size. The only thing is that the male bartender is a bit disorganized. First, he forgot our cocktail, and we had to remind him several times, and then he accidentally poured us a whole drink. As an apology, the drink was supposed to be free, but when we paid at reception, they didn't know about it, so we had to pay for it anyway.

Great stay, beautiful rooftop, perfect location, love this place!! Amazing food prepared by Steven, and the service of Juliana and Liseth are impecable and really professional, Santiago also makes you feel at home and they work great as a team! I have been gone 2 days and already miss this place and all the staff! would come back on a heartbeat!! Super recommended!!

Cannot say enough good things about this place and their staff!! Leonardo in the front desk was a Rockstar and helped us through the check in process smoothly! Got to our rooms and headed straight to the rooftop, there Karina and Jaider took care of us with refreshing drinks and delicious food while enjoy the pool and the magical sunset of Santa Marta!! The only thing I can suggest is taking care of the small buildup of black mold (especially in the ceiling and corners of the bathrooms) they were not huge patches but they can be treated and we understand that humidity does not help either but it is a simple improvement that will make this stay perfect from beginning to end!! Thank you for a great experience!!

Un lugar perfecto ✨

El lugar perfecto para disfrutar de todo el encanto de Santa Marta, Taganga, Sisiguaca, Minca, Parque Tayrona, y mucho más… Hostel Masaya, mejor lugar del mundo ! Aquí puedes descansar, comer rico, disfrutar de los actividades muy bonitas que tienen por las noches, encontrar personas maravillosas y hacerte amigos… Pero este lugar tiene algo muy agradable y muy especial gracias al equipo que tienen, Christian y Vanessa en la recepción son personas extraordinarios, te recibes todo el tiempo con buenas ondas y grande sonrisa, lo mismo en el restaurante/bar en el rooftop con Lisette, Juliana y Karina, personas tan agradables que hacen todo para ayudarte todo el tiempo con un grande sonrisa ! Los voy a echar de menos… Todos… (Nunca perder un equipo tan precioso, personas tan importantes para que un lugar como este funcione bien, para que los clientes vengan de nuevo, hasta en Francia estas personas son raras…) Si necesitas ayuda o que quieres preguntarme algo sobre Santa Marta, aquí tienes un amigo francés que le encanta hablar español. Very good stay and location for the price

Great stay at Masaya! Clean, good price, good location, nice and filling breakfast, and the room was fine. Would have liked drawers or a small wardrobe. Also, there were no windows in the room (small one in the bathroom). Noise not too bad - could hear our neighbours when using the shower. The live music and DJs were great, though regular music during dinner was too loud. We'd have liked more activities to get to know people, but not sure if we just missed these. Overall a really good stay and we recommend!

My first hostal experience and not my last, after this reservation I booked again the very next day. Definitely would recommend, bed was comfy, water was hot enough, I like how it’s actividades to do. The food was aight, but you can cook your own meal in the comunal kitchen which was pretty wicked. Some mornings I would lounge around in the nets, with the sun beaming at me then go to the pool which was conveniently outside my room. I never did get a chance to go on the hammocks but that’s no biggie.

Très bon choix en centre ville .

1 nuit en chambre privée. Joli endroit central, très bien tenu avec une grande terrasse. Petit déjeuner au choix mais le français est frugal. Très jolie chambre en rdc, spacieuse et bien isolée clim wifi. Recommandable

Gem in the center of the city.

This place was disgusting. My shared dorm smelled like feet and old laundry. I felt like I was staying in a homeless shelter. One of the bathrooms had feces in the toilet. The couches were soiled. Never again!

This is the best hostel i have ever been to! Great customer service, special mention to Davis, he helped me with any issues or need i had, from transportation, to excursions, to food, etc... Angie was also very helpful. The design of the property is awesome! Not your bare bones hostel, this one has pools, bar, restaurant, rooftop deck with great views and also activities like dance classes! They have raised the bar for hostels for me, i don't know how i will go back to a basic hostel again. I can't wait to visit again and bring my son, family, and friends. Thank you all for an amazing time!
