The grounds of the property are beautiful and interesting with lots of birds and butterflies (note there is some small construction going on at the moment but this didn’t affect us). It was a relaxing and peaceful place for a few days with excellent hiking nearby to the waterfalls and river swimming pools. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the enclosed seating area at the front of each cabin, with fresh coffee provided, was a great place just to sit for a while.……

“Staying at Maquenque Lodge was a pleasant surprise as staying in the middle of the rainforest was an unknown experience. The staff was very welcoming, there for all of your needs, and very helpful. The Wifi was outstanding throughout the property, AC units for the treehouses were perfect for the humid conditions and the jacuzzi was a fun bonus. Plenty of activities to do on your stay and be prepared to be doing lots of walking as houses are a bit away from restaurant.But, it's worth the hike as……

“This was our first stop on a first trip to Costa Rica and it was incredible. The team working here is nothing short of incredible. They are all so nice and very helpful! Everything from the welcome drink, to the breakfast, lunch, and dinner were amazing. The animals were plentiful and such a great way to start your trip with kids on the rainforest. We took a frog tour at night and it’s a must do as well. After breakfast, we hit the waterfall trail to some of the most breath taking waterfalls……

“Sehr schöne Dschungel Lodge. Kein AC aber Ventilator ausreichend. Bequeme Betten. Tolle warme Thermen. Bad und Dusche etwas beengt. Frühstück gut, aber leider nur 1 Kaffee inklusive. Abendessen sehr lecker. Servicepersonal aufmerksam und schnell. Wer mitten im Dschungel ein paar Tage verbringen möchte ist hier genau richtig. “We really enjoyed our stay at La Selva. Loved the guided tour that is included and also did a bird tour on the property which was great. Both guides were very knowledgeable and we had a great time on both tours. Multiple trails on the property to explore on our own. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are rustic and basic but we knew that when we booked it so no problem. Dining is cafeteria style which was fine because we were not there for the food but for the nature and the……
