Cute little home that was perfect for what we needed. The area has lots of little local fare and the surrounding state parks are beautiful. Having the bikes to ride was a nice little perk

Perfect quiet family vacation

Grayt Escape was perfect for our family of four. Quiet street and an easy five minute walk to the beach access. The house had everything we needed. The screened in porch and outdoor shower were amazing to have as well. We can’t wait to return!

What a Grayt Escape!

Grayton has long been our family's destination for vacation. This was the first time staying in a rental. While small, the cabin is beautifully maintained, in a perfect location, comes with bikes!, and the management company was very responsive.

We loved it!

My daughter and I really enjoyed this little house. It was a perfect size for the two of us - it would also work well for a small family. We were happy to be just a short walk from the beach and loved that there were bikes also available to use. There are some very small improvements that would make this property more comfortable, but overall we loved it.

Sweet location, cozy little spot

Pine street is the place to stay in Grayton Beach for a quiet and private spot still close to all the action. This rental is clean and cozy, has what is needed. Space could be an issue 1) if you need storage space for dry goods/food or 2) like counter space in a bathroom. The kitchen has apartment sized appliances and space, which could be an issue if you plan to cook all your meals. The smoke detector is close to the coil stove burners so you will likely set the smoke detector off unless all the doors and fans are on. Beds are a little outdated and squeaky. Showers are good. Other than that, it’s a nice stay and you’ll love the screened in porch.

Perfect stay!

We enjoyed our stay so much, The location is perfect for beach & restaurants while also being quiet and peaceful. Our communication with the property manager was exceptional. She was quick to respond and helped us with our arrival. I recommend the property and the management company 100%!!

Great location!

We enjoyed our stay here. The home is tucked away on a quiet street. This was our first time staying at Grayton Beach, but it won’t be our last. The home is exactly as pictured & perfect for a couple. The bikes were an added bonus.

Great location and house

Clean, convenient and love the area. Bikes were great. Few basic amenities would have been nice as we arrived by plane i.e beach chairs, beach towels, kitchen basics like foil, Saran Wrap. Lighting in bathrooms not great . Regardless, comfortable and enjoyed it all!

Pictures look nothing like the actual listing on Vrbo. You walk in and it looks like Camp Crystal Lake. There were cockroaches, porch swing was broken, spiderwebs and bugs all in the screened in porch, screened in porch was outdated and falling apart, washer was so backed up and not cleaned properly overtime so we couldn’t use it all week, only one roll of toilet paper was in each bathroom and we had to go out and buy our own toilet paper. The smell inside the place was so musty and it smelt like someone smoked inside. We had to go buy plug ins to help with the smell. Overall, the house needs a huge remodel and the house also moves. If someone is walking around and someone is laying down or sitting down, you can feel the house move. Also, the house to the right of the house looks awful. In the town of Grayton Beach, this house and the house to the right are considered scum. And boy are they correct! Absolute joke and should be embarrassed.

The house was perfect for our family of four. Our college age daughters took turns sleeping on the upper twin bunk. We all loved the outdoor shower after the beach, which is a short walk down the street followed by a short hike on a sandy path. My husband loved biking to the local coffee shop and checking out the surrounding area in the morning when it was cooler. The limited beach access meant smaller crowds. We would love to rent again.

We loved it!

Our place was very clean! No cobwebs on the porch like some places have. The bikes were in excellent condition. The beach was not overly crowded like Destin tends to be. There were plenty of places to visit within biking distance. I love that the cabin is on the edge of the neighborhood with the woods right across from us. There wasn’t a lot of traffic on our street. I was at peace sipping wine on the screened in porch with no mosquitos or other bugs bothering me.

Hmmmm…

Mattress are really old and you sleep in “indentations”. Every shift in the night is accompanied with the bed creaking, squeaking or the headboard banging on the window sill. Overall cleanliness was below average. All sorts of hair in the bathroom floors and shower. Spray more for bugs. Killed multiple roaches. Can understand why as you can see daylight around the back door in the kitchen. May visit Grayton again but definitely won’t stay at this place.

Grayt Summer Getaway

We definitely loved the location of this property. Easy walk or bike ride to anywhere we needed to go. It was just big enough for 4 of us. Kitchen is very small, but it was fine for cooking/preparing light meals. The dishwasher and washer/dryer were great! Needs a larger non-stick pan added to the cookware supply. The primary bedroom needs a new mattress. We "rolled to the middle" on that one. Primary bathroom needs more lighting. The one light fixture was very dim and was hanging down from the ceiling. A tv in the second bedroom would also be nice. The front porch swing was great. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the front porch every day. The interior of the porch could use a paint touch up and there were several places in the screens that need repair/replaced. The outdoor string lights need to be replaced as well. The outdoor shower was great added touch. RealJoy rental company was awesome to work with. They were very efficient and kept us updated and notified as our trip approached. House entrance and bike codes all worked properly. We never had to contact them for anything. The only code/password discrepancy was the WiFi password info listed on the refrigerator. It's not correct. The password given by RealJoy is the correct one. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our vacation to Grayton Beach and will definitely be returning to that area in the future.

Great location and beach access

Best feature was the easy beach access. Property was large enough for a couple or small family and was accurately described in the listing. Beds were comfortable and we never ran out of hot water. Outside storm doors could use a little maintenance. All in all a very positive experience. We would stay here again.
