pleasantly surprised

Had previous bad experiences with absolutely gross rentals. This was an amazing change. The home was truly clean and well ordered and maintained. Even the upholstery and area rugs were stain free. We had zero complaints and are very thankful.

Perfect beach home for our family of 6!!

Love the location

This was our second time staying in this neighborhood and we love it. It is close to shops, restaurants and, most importantly, the beach. The house is definitely in need of some updating, especially the carpet on the stairs. However, it was clean and met our needs. Thanks for allowing us to stay!

The kitchen needs a few more things to cook with, but overall I found things to use. I would definitely stay at this home again!

Time to update

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is very cute outside, but in need of much updating. Bathrooms are old and poorly lit. Master shower was tiny. Upon arrival, the kitchen floor was dirty with hair and crumbs and ants on the countertops. Someone did come in to treat ants and we saw fewer after. The TV in family room didn't work all weekend and wi-fi isn't reliable. The walk to beach isn't bad and the neighborhood is cute, however we wouldn't rent there again.

Convenient to beach and 30A

If you don't mind the roaches

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Breakaway is located in a small community of vacation rentals just steps away from the beach (no golf cart needed). The home has several balconies for you to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning or glass of wine in the evening. Inside there are two bedrooms, two bathrooms & laundry on the first floor. The living room, kitchen and third bedroom and bathroom are on the second floor. The kitchen has all basic appliances, dishes & utensils. Overall, we really enjoyed the house and it's location. The only reason we probably would not return is because the house was infested with roaches. They were literally everywhere. The house also was not clean when we arrived. The staff was responsive when we contacted them, but they blew off our concerns regarding the roaches.

Amazing beach rental

Reviewer Comments: Perfect for beach proximity and seafood market within walking distance. Early morning risers would enjoy this rental most due to lots of sunlight and second floor footsteps were often overheard. The game cabinet, on-site laundry and huge pantry were fabulous. Community pool was never crowded. Perfect rental for those who like to eat at home and want quiet, beautiful beach access.

Incredible stay!

We loved this rental. It was truly such a short walk to the beach access. The home was clean, well laid out and worked perfectly for our little family of 4. We cooked in and grilled the majority of the trip and the kitchen was well stocked for this. Management was quick to respond to our minor inquiries. All around incredible experience. We will be back!

The home has a great location. We booked this particular house because of the description of the beds. I wouldn’t call the beds “premium”. I was expecting a sleep number bed or the equivalent. I was sorely disappointed. I would stay in an updated house the same neighborhood next time.

Location only

This property is in a good location but could use a little attention. A new TV upstairs would be a small but worthy investment along with a mess wifi system. Otherwise the wifi barely works downstairs. We had to call maintenace to fix the dryer (this is the first time I haven’t left a vacation with clean laundry) and to help with the upstairs cable. Simple instruction and which remote to use would go along way. Investing in a new tv for a couple of hundred bucks would also help. Maintenace was very professional and came right away. I would have preferred not to have met them. We came for a long weekend.

Last Minute Vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: After Schools decided to change the start date last minute, we jumped on the only chance for a vaca this year. First off, the area was great as we didn't have to wear a mask 24x7!! The house could stand to be updated or at least freshened up a bit but we didn't mind. All of the appliances worked and the one call we made about the AC was addressed same day within hours. The instructions for entry, check in/check out were clear. The walk to the beach is very short and traveling to amenities is very very convenient.

The only downside is that the walls are super thin, you can hear everything, specially downstairs you can hear people upstairs walking around. as far as cleanliness , it was ok. We saw spiderwebs in the closets and table light fixture. Otherwise I think it was pretty clean. Another thing I didn’t like is that the top bunk bed covers should be change they look old and tearing from the bottom side. Also the bunk bed is super raggedy, every time you move it makes noises and the top bunk side bar is really lose. Besides those small details, we enjoyed our stayed and would consider staying again in breakaway.
