Hotel und Zimmer sind sehr schön. Lage des Zimmers eher ungünstig wenn eine Großveranstaltung im Hinterland ist und man nachts die Fenster geöffnet haben möchte. Wir hatten eine Woche lang Oktoberfestbeschallung bis spät in die Nacht.

Let's start with the cons. #1 The bathroom is open plan - meaning that the sinks are not private. Nor is the bath. And the toilet itself offers very little privacy. You have to ask your partner to put in their earplugs when you go to the toilet. Also no small sink in toilet to wash hands. You have to come out to wash down in the open. In my experience, no matter how long you have known your partner - and no matter how much in love you may be - you do not want them to hear your noises on the toilet. You still want some privacy when performing in the bathroom. #2 If you book full board which means breakfast and evening buffet, you will not get any water (not even tap water) with your meal unless you pay for it. All drinks have to be paid for. They don't even provide coffee. At breakfast, you get everything without extra charge. #3 They hold corporate events which means some areas - like the bars and pools - get closed for the other guests. And these events can be noisy. Everything else is perfect. Great staff, super clean place, great rooms if you pick Junior suite and a decent choice at breakfast. Overall I give it 7/10

We verbleven een week in Atzavara en in het algemeen hebben we er een mooie tijd gehad. Het hotel is heel stijlvol en de kamers zijn ruim. Ze werden elke dag grondig onderhouden door de housekeeping, wat we echt wisten te waarderen. Fijn ook dat er een combinatie van bad en douche is, want thuis hebben we geen bad. Het hotel heeft veel bars en gezellige plekken om iets te drinken. Soms sloten die echter vroeger dan aangekondigd of bleken ze onverwacht privé, waardoor je plots alleen nog in één bar terechtkon. Daar waren dan soms enkel natte stoelen beschikbaar of stond de muziek heel luid binnen. Qua personeel hadden we wisselende ervaringen: sommige medewerkers waren heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam, anderen straalden eerder uit dat ze hier liever niet stonden. De zwembaden en ligplekken zijn een groot pluspunt: heel veel ruimte en geen gevecht om een bedje te vinden. Wel waren de meeste zwembaden behoorlijk koud; voor een vijfsterrenhotel zou lichte verwarming welkom zijn. Pas later ontdekten we dat er toch één warmer zwembad bestaat, maar dit staat nergens vermeld en is bovendien een pak kleiner. Begrijpelijk dat het daardoor rustiger blijft, maar het zou fijn zijn als alle zwembaden die aangename temperatuur hadden. De redders aan het zwembad zijn bovendien erg streng en er mag geen muziek gespeeld worden, wat de sfeer soms wat minder maakt. Ook de bediening aan de poolbar kan beter: het is niet duidelijk dat er eigenlijk maar één bar voor de zwembaden is, waardoor er l

Weekend break from Barcelona

- Check-in experience was slow but reception staff apologetic and we received a welcome drink, which was a nice touch. - Rooms are well appointed, but because of tiled floors and thin walls/ceilings you can hear scraping of furniture by guests late at night and by cleaners early mornings. The road behind the hotel where our room was facing was noisy at night, with drivers revving and speeding - maybe install speed bumps to discourage this? - Cleaners chatting loudly and shouting instructions to each other in the corridor and neighbouring rooms from 8 a.m. (during a weekend break, this is not ideal...) - Pool areas very nice, clean and a good number of sunbeds with umbrellas and efficient towel service. - Breakfast buffet good, with a good selection of hot and cold food, cheeses, fruits, juices and decent coffee. A shame it didn't extend slightly later at weekends. Dinner buffet had an excellent salad bar but was overall less impressive, with a limited number of vegetarian mains and overcooked seafood and meat dishes (my guess is much of the cooking was done from frozen given the texture). It was also a shame that "Botanic" didn't offer any vegetarian main courses, otherwise we would probably have tried that too. That said, the "Bali" restaurant was again excellent and well worth a visit. - Check out after 11 a.m. (a little early given check in is from 3 p.m.) not possible due to the arrival of a large group, but we were able to store luggage and use the pool facilities.

Fantastisk hotel til glutenallergikere!

Vi havde et rigtig dejligt ophold på Atzavara Hotel i Santa Susanna. Værelset var rummeligt og komfortabelt, og vi følte os hurtigt hjemme. Hotellets buffet fortjener virkelig at blive fremhævet – det er uden tvivl den bedste, vi nogensinde har oplevet. Udvalget var stort, kvaliteten af maden var i topklasse, og de var samtidig utroligt gode til allergener. I vores tilfælde med glutenallergi var det en kæmpe lettelse, at alle retter var tydeligt mærket med små skilte, så det var nemt og trygt at finde rundt. Poolområdet var også en stor fornøjelse, især den særskilte “adult-only” pool, hvor stemningen var rolig og afslappende. Det gav et ekstra pift af luksus til oplevelsen. Det eneste store minus var, at der var tilladt at ryge på alle udeområder. Mange gæster benyttede sig af det, og derfor var der desværre ofte en gennemtrængende lugt af røg, som ødelagde den ellers skønne atmosfære. Alt i alt et hotel med meget høj standard, hvor især maden, de gode forhold for allergikere og faciliteterne gør det til et besøg værd – men man skal være forberedt på, at cigaretrøg kan være en gennemgående del af oplevelsen.

I can't say that this hotel is bad, but several moments ruined good impression, mostly about the service (or lack of normal service). As an example, in the room for 3 people we found only 2 glasses and 1 vanity kit, and bed for 1 person was without normal size pillow. We requested extra glass and pillow from reception, it didn't help. Finally, in the last evening, we tried to boil water for the cup of tea in the kettle (provided by hotel) in our room. As a result, water and chemical foam (it looked like foam from some washing detergent) came out of kettle (it was properly closed BTW), spilled on the table and scared us. When we came to reception to complain about it, receptionist Mir didn't even said that he is sorry about this situation - he started to ask questions like 'what did you put in the kettle', being extremely rude. This situation and the fact, that other receptionist didn't warn my friends before they left the hotel, that the day they were leaving, the road in front of hotel is completely blocked by the market and the bus have no chance to pick them up (even though they discussed that my friends plan to take the bus next morning). I don't recommend to stay in this hotel, the service there doesn't meet any expectations for 5 starts hotel (or good hotel in general)

Super séjour

Super hôtel ! Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans un cadre calme et reposant. Le buffet du petit-déjeuner ainsi que du dîner sont bien garni et varié, parfait pour bien commencer la journée. L’emplacement est idéal : les alentours sont agréables et la plage, accessible facilement, est tout aussi plaisante en journée qu’en soirée. Gros plus : la piscine réservée aux adultes, qui permet de profiter pleinement de moments de détente. Un séjour réussi, que nous recommandons vivement !

Super séjour. Bon emplacement à quelques metres de la station de train qui va a barcelone et a d autres stations. Petit dej et diner buffet excellents, personnel hyper sympa et serviable. Piscines au top dans un jardin verdoyant, super plage a 10min a pied.
