Prinzipiell können wir die vielen sehr positiven Bewertungen des Resorts verstehen auch wenn wir nur wenige Stunden im Hotel verbracht haben. Wir haben jedoch einen Kritikpunkt, welcher unseren kompletten Aufenthalt in Frage stellt. Wir haben ein Apartment mit Whirlpool gebucht. Das Hotel bietet ein Chek-In ab 16 Uhr an und wünscht vorher eine Information über den Anreisezeitpunkt. Entsprechend haben wir im Vorfeld die Rezeption per E-Mail darüber informiert, dass wir gegen Mittag anreisen um an einer Walbeobachtungstour teilzunehmen und am nächsten Morgen gleich nach dem Frühstück weiterreisen möchten. Wir haben eine sehr freundliche Antwort der Rezeption erhalten, dass wir schon mittags anreisen und die Koffer unterstellen können. Entsprechend haben wir uns zur Mittagszeit angemeldet, haben die Koffer untergestellt und sind zur Walbeobachtung gegangen. Wir haben dann gegen 17 Uhr wie besprochen die Zimmerkarte abgeholt in der Vorfreude den Abend im Whirlpool mit Blick auf das Meer und die Klippen von Los Gigantes ausklingen zu lassen. Leider wurde die Vorfreude schnell zerschlagen, da der Whirlpool bei einer Außentemperatur von unter 20 Grad nur eine Wassertemperatur von 32 Grad hatte. Leider zu wenig für das Baden mit Kindern. Die Rezeption konnte kein Verständnis für die Kritik aufbringen, dass wenn man ein hochpreisiges Apartment mit Whirlpool ab 16 Uhr mietet auch der Whirlpool ab diesem Zeitpunkt nutzbar sein sollte. Für längere Aufenthalte ist das Hotel zu empfehlen.

Fantastic room. Spacious. If I was being picky I’d say there could be shelving in the bathroom and bedside drawers in the bedroom but that’s not a major issue. The hot tub was lovely, however, having paid for seven nights use there was two days we couldn’t use it as it went cold and someone had to come and sort it out. Technically that’s two nights of use we paid for and was unable to use it. Staff were amazing. Very attentive and helpful. Overall we had a brilliant stay and would definitely return. Already thinking of biooong for next year.

We had a fantastic stay at the Royal Sun Resort and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Tenerife. The staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly and helpful throughout our visit, which really made a difference to our experience. Our apartment was lovely and perfect for the four of us (two couples). The air conditioning was excellent, and the bathroom was impressively huge and spacious. The pool area was well maintained and provided a lovely spot to relax. A special mention must go to the breakfast buffet - it was incredible and we'd highly recommend adding this to your stay. We got into a great routine of eating breakfast at the hotel each morning, having lunch out while exploring, then cooking in the apartment each evening (we used the room service menu one evening, which was great value and delicious). The location proved to be a great base for exploring the island with a hire car, and the local area itself was fantastic. The only downside was that the kitchen felt quite dated with some very old appliances. We encountered a leaky kettle and a few items that were difficult to use or broken, but we managed to work around these issues. Overall, we had a wonderful time. The combination of excellent staff, comfortable accommodation, fantastic breakfast, and great location made for a memorable stay.

Didn't want to leave!

Had at great stay at the royal sun. Our apartment was beautiful and we had everything we could need. We had a three bed on the top floor. The facilities in the room were superb, especially the jacuzzi. The bathrobe and slippers were a nice touch too. Beds were very comfortable. Whole apartment was spotless and great quality towels. The views were to die for at all times of the day. We also found the area very peaceful. Great to have our own area to chill in water and lounge on the sunbeds on the huge balcony. TV in main bed room too that has access to the balcony. All staff we met were great especially the blonde receptionist we met at check in. We didn't use housekeeping as we only stayed 5 nights and we tidy as we go but we met the ladies to change towels and get a few coffees and they were lovely also. Shop was really handy, you wouldn't be stuck for anything and nice staff here too. Didn't eat at the hotel so can't comment on food or drink. The pool was a nice temperature and not too busy on our stay so my daughter had plenty fun here with her snorkel set. Loads of sun loungers and umbrellas on a beautiful deck. Sea views and a bar with ice-cream and snacks also. We did avail of a late check out and we were accommodated till 1pm for an extra €20 which we were delighted with. Overall this is a great resort with everything you could need. The apartment was amazing for the money we paid so we felt it was good value for our group of 6. I would definitely return.

Fine but nothing special.

The hotel itself is fine. The staff are all very friendly and nice. Only had breakfast but it was very good value for €12. A couple of issues - there is no lift to the 3 bed apartments on the 6th floor, only to the 5th then you have to climb some steps, so be aware if you have mobility issues. And no one offered to help with luggage. The room cleaning isn’t the greatest, they are nice but miss stuff and don’t refill shower gel ets. And the en suite shower leaked a lot. If the hotel was somewhere else I’d probably go back but I’ll never be back to Los Gigantes, go there to see the cliffs, but that’s it, it is a terrible town, absolutely no redeeming qualities.
