Charming hotel, lovely staff. Great breakfast. Just a very homey, simpatico place. Easy walk to the Metro and to restaurants. We will definitely stay there next visit.

Clean and relaxing environment, was a great place to base ourselves from to look around Santiago. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Breakfast and dinner were excellent. I felt very safe staying here. Would definitely stay here again if we were back in Santiago

This was a great find in walking distance of major sites. it was one of the best values of any hotel I have ever stayed in. it is an older building, clean and charming. The staff could not have been nicer and the food was good. I would definitely recommend this hotel and stay there again.

It is a nice place in a cantral part of town. The staff are very nice and help out where they can. The rooms are well equipped, not luxurious but more than adequate for the price.

I was very comfortable during my stay at Hostal Rio Amazonas. The room and property were exceptionally clean. Staff was very helpful. I had cool air through my windows at night, and it was surprisingly quiet considering its central location. Would stay again!

Conveniently located by the Baquedano metro stop and bus stops, this charming guesthouse has a European feel. Staff are kind and attentive and the rooms and facilities are very clean. They serve a healthy and filling breakfast every day. Sometimes a little noisy from the streets and other guests. I would absolutely stay here again.

Comfy in Santiago

Our second stay at this hotel and again we found it very welcoming and comfortable. The hotel is a lovely arts and crafts style building in a central position. The bedroom was small but adequate with a comfortable bed; we both slept well. Breakfast is a limited buffet style meal but tasty and ample enough to get the day started well. The locality was a little more depressed than on our previous visit due to civil unrest a few years ago.

Good location, the best staff

Caroline was very friendly and helpful. She managed to find a good transfer for us to Farellones and made everything she could to make us have the best experience possible. The hotel has good location near Lastarria and metro station. The fresh yogurt is a must try. The facility is a historical building, don’t expect anything fancy, but it’s fair enough considering the price. Very good quality / price ratio

We stayed here for just 1 night but very early check-in (06.00am), staff are very helpful and prompt response to our questions during booking and requested. During our stay Jimmy and Alex again very helpful recommend places to go where to eat including transportation assist. Room are clean, BF great, easy to go around Hanoi, we have 0 complaint about this hotel. After we left, we forgot some money in hotel safe box, once again staff very helpful transferred money back to our account. Highly recommend, 5 Star with big thank you from us. We will back there for sure.

I don't have many hostal experiences but this is worth every penny. The food delicious and the staff super. The only bad thing is that the floor of the room is made of wood and you can hear your moves and other guest. Also it was uncomfortable that early in the morning or late at night you can hear loud people. But everything was amazing. I was a solo traveler and felt safe. Even doe I came in at night.

The hotel is at a location walkable to Santiago's main tourist attractions. But the shower water was luke-warm and breakfast just was meager. Not sure why the rating was so high.
