The location was convenient and it felt safe. However, communication with host was a bit unreliable in terms of timely responses for basic requests. For example, we did not receive check in information until 2 hours before check in which was unnerving when arriving to an unknown location. We had to contact VRBO about our concerns. Upon arrival, amenities were few: 2 towels for a family of 4; no coffee filters for the coffee machine, no kitchen towels, no coffee mugs, etc. We did receive coffee filters and the extra towels eventually but it was a day later when we had already gone out and purchased our own. No communication about having to switch on hot water until after trying to shower in the evening; when attempting to call host, it took almost an hour to realize, there was a switch in the room that needed to be turned on. Little inconveniences like these could have been avoided with a little more attention from the host. We had requested a kitchen towel but were told that it was unhygienic to use a towel and to use the provided paper towels instead. No screens on windows or doors and there are mosquitos. Finally, description of rental indicates washer and dryer. This amenity is in the building and not in the room. We had chosen this room because of this amenity however there was no communication upfront to indicate that a laundry manager managed this and they were off on Sundays (understandable) but would have been helpful to know up front and not after the fac
