  • The Village Hideaway II (formerly Village Nook) is a comfortable ground level, garden apartment, with a private entrance. It's perfect for one or two people on an Adirondack get-away or business trip. Your hosts have thoughtfully set up the apartment so guests feel at home. You'll find the convenience of a fully equipped kitchen, a washer and dryer for longer stays, and a desk for your laptop.

    Stroll down Broadway or the Adirondack Rail Trail behind the property to enjoy the village of Saranac Lake's cafes, shops, galleries, and events, Drive two minutes to the hospital, or the beach.

    You have the unique opportunity for an especially relaxing respite. Your host Mary, a Yoga Therapist, offers yoga therapy, private yoga or beginner Tai Chi sessions, Reiki and sound bath meditation by appointment.     You'll find a guidebook with recommendations for dining and outings as well as brochures and maps for area attractions, trails, and waterways.

Great place to stay . Close to shopping , restaurants, downtown. Lake Placid is only 9 miles away , Whiteface Mt probably 20 very beautiful miles away.

Comfortable living quarters, well appointed, very clean and friendly host. Easy on-site parking. Information provided for local activities, recommendations and on-site yoga instruction (go ahead, give it a try). Would definitely stay here again.

Overnight in the Adirondacks

We enjoyed our stay and Mary was great to work with since we booked with short notice. We loved the soaking tub after a night of Wild Lights in Tupper Lake.

Love The Nook

We really loved everything about The Nook, our hosts, and our time in the area. The privacy, comfy bed, soaking tub, and sitting area made us feel at home. There's much to see that I recommend staying a week, especially if you like to hike.

Well appointed apartment that ideally located for all sorts of outdoor adventures. Just steps from the Adirondack rail trail to Lake Placid or Tupper Lake, plenty of nerby hiking including high peaks and lots of varied paddling opportunities. Great hosts mase for an easy stay.
