"We did not realize that dinner and breakfast was not included even though it said kaiseki meal in the description. One of the nearby restaurants was closed and the other would not seat foreigners. The staff did offer to call us a taxi to take us to a restaurant 10 minutes away, but we ended up eating snacks from the hotel store for dinner. Luckily we were able to add on breakfast the following morning.
But our room was wonderful, staff was helpful, and the property was gorgeous."

"Its a "romance hotel," which I didn't realize until I got there, so I was naturally confused when I entered the front door as there is no reception desk just 4 buttons you can press to select your room type and a phone. I stood around confused for long enough that a nice employee saw me confused on a security camera and came to help. When I entered my room there is a credit card machine, and other amenities for your stay, including the "romantic" items available for use. It was an unusually...

"This was a beautiful experience, it felt like a real Japanese lifestyle, the owners were very serviceable and so sweet, it is a genuine place, not like a modern ryokan, this was the real deal"

"Right by the station, location’s a gem. Convenience store at level one, connected to the hotel makes it quite tempting to buy something back all the time. Toilet seems rather refreshed and new despite the retro feel of the hotel, very comfortable stay for four nights. "

"Beautiful location, really amazing couple that runs this guest house. An experience I will not soon forget. Very warm and hospitable, made us feel like we were at home there. Highly recommend this stay for a home away from home. "

"Extremely close to Toyama Station which is great when traveling with children. Walking distance to Kansui Park and connected to city by Tram
Toyoko inn are like HolidayInn Express, breakfast, basic but great accommodation and convenient.
Rooms are a bit small but manageable and amenities are included in case you forgot toothbrush, pijamas, slippers, razor, even laundry."
"the room was very clean, small by Australian standards but a good size for japan. The bathroom / shower was fantastic. The staff were great and the location was very convenient "
"The staff had a very high work ethics. The room was clean and the cleaning crews were working diligently. I loved the location where was very convenient to take the city train system. The only thing I did not like was: a man’s hot spring was much bigger and had 4-5 kinds of hot tubs. In contrary, a female had only one hot tub. "
