"Was hesitant to select a Best Western but the hotel exceeded our expectations. Our room had a bedroom with a Queen bed and then a King bed in living room. Very spacious, porch overlooking the river. We stayed here to explore Mount Hood area. We walked the river path to easy dinner locations. Beautiful walk, about 20 minutes. Gym, pool and sauna were great. We had breakfast at hotel which was tasty. Comfortable bed. Several parties arrived at the same time to check in and the staff got us all through and checked in quickly. Easy parking."
"We had such a nice stay here. The staff is so wonderful- they are really sweet and helpful.
The pool is small, but clean.
The rooms are clean, spacious, and the bathrooms are really nice.
Good location- we were able to walk downtown and to the little market easily.
Beautiful views and good value!"
"Great historic spot in the heart of Hood River’s downtown. Friendly staff and comfy room and bed, though historic inn sized! Only recommendation I’d make is to vacuum/sweep the entry mats and lobby doorway area. It’s the first impression, & while I get that Hood River is famed for its strong winds, the entry could be a little more welcoming and spiffy. That said, rooms are tidy and lobby area a nice spot to unwind."
"Our group had a great week-long stay at this property! It’s wonderfully quiet yet conveniently close to town, with gorgeous views of the orchard and the team caring for it.A few quick notes for future guests:Space: The primary bedroom is huge, while the other three bedrooms are fairly small.Cleanliness: A couple of rooms had spiderwebs on the walls, but it kind of added to the rustic farmhouse vibe and was easy enough to clear off ourselves.Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely book this property again!"
CUTE and COMFORTABLE, in a quaint location, Central AC, DOG friendly
8/10 Good
"This is a lovely, older home in a central location in Hood River. There is ample space for 2 adults and a dog. At the relatively high price point, I think there are some easy investments the owners could make to ensure that guests have a great experience.-The beds were small and uncomfortable. An updated mattress and frame would really help. Investing in new beds would is a must.-The gate next to the driveway has a broken latch so we had no confidence the gate was actually closed with the high winds Hood River is known for when we let our dog out. Little details like this go a long way for a guest.-Main bathroom sink was severely clogged upon arrival. Gross!-The ignitor on the grill wasn't working and there was no lighter to start the grill. No one picked up phone or called back after we left a message when we called to ask about this issue. There was a general sense of "you're on your own, pal!" we felt that was a bit cold.-We were informed there was a well stocked kitchen to cook but found only hardened seasonings from moisture/age, old salt that was bought from a dollar store years ago, no olive oil, etc. Disappointing to have to buy your own essentials at the grocery store when you're ready to cook dinner.-Small note: piano was out of tune. Was fun to play but again, disappointing when you were informed by the rental company that there was a piano you can play. Overall, this is a nice location and ample sized house that needs some investment and TLC."
Hull Street Loft - Cozy, Near Downtown, Height of Hood River
10/10 Excellent
"Overall, the house was really nice! Keep in mind this is a long walk to downtown and with no Uber or Lyft, and unreliable taxis in town, it's a long walk back up to the house! We appreciated the cleanliness and thoughtful touch of coffee beans and a grinder. Great patio in the morning too!"
