Unprofessional service received
First, we brought three large pieces luggage for this long trip. The hotel offered us a room on the sixth floor without helping us carry our luggage or even telling us how to go to the sixth floor. The highest floor the elevator could reach was the fourth floor, so we had to carry our luggage a long way up to the sixth floor using the stairs, and the next day, down to the first floor as well. Second, I’m a VIP member of Hotels.com, and the website clearly stated that this hotel would provide VIP members a bottle of wine and a $35 dollars coupon for parking. The hotel didn’t mention any of these services we were supposed to receive, so we had to ask the front desk ourselves.

总体来说非常好！
很棒的酒店！打开窗户就是大海！海景也很漂亮，就在码头和索萨里托市中心旁边，离各大著名餐厅和景点都很近，很方便！房间很干净，宽敞和明亮，装修也很不错！就是阳台的门关起来有点费劲，还有就是我不喜欢这里的马桶，因为马桶圈是前面有缺口的那种款式，觉得很奇怪。其他的都很完美！

Property location made up for shortfalls such as no water when we got to the room, not super clean, had ants and dead bug on mantel… also, bathrooms not private as has shutters to open out to view witch is good and bad, bed also very hard for me. But still a great spot, just not 5 stars for price.

I had the pleasure of staying in the mansion for a night and it was absolute perfection with impeccable service. The room was divine, the view fabulous, the shower the best I’ve taken in a while, and the little chocolates at night were such a sweet touch. I also got incredible food recommendations - Copita and Fred’s Place were chefs kiss perfection. My parents got married here so it’s a special place for me. I will be coming back again and again.

Great property and great location - I would definitely recommend. The only thing to point out - Sausalito has terrible network coverage (at least Verizon) and the hotel wifi was hit or miss - iPad connected just fine but my phone did not.

This is a lovely, safe, quiet place to stay in the Bay Area. It is right near the ferry to San Francisco, and it's a peaceful commute into the city. I'm glad the Casa Madrona was an option. The rooms were bright and nice, wiith a few of the bay, and the front-desk folks were great. This is in one of the richest areas in the US, so you expect to pay a high price for it. But the cost of the hotel seemed excessive. It doesn't have breakfast or lobby amenities. The spa and gym areas were cramped, and didn't open until 7 AM. (The steam room was on the fritz when we were there.) Sausalito doesn't have many good restaurants, unlike SF. The Bay Area doesn't get as many tourists as it once did, so, despite the high cost of living there, you'd think there would be better hotel deals. Still, it was enjoyable and hassle-free.

The rooms had no sound protection from the noises from the street. Could hear every car, every person walking on the sidewalk. If you plan on sleeping in, 6am would be around the average time. Garbage trucks and street sweepers come by every day. The room adjacent, we could hear every conversation. Found ants in room over our 2 night stay. Ear plugs are an absolute must. When checking out, hotel management only comped resort fee.

We are sorry to hear your stay with us did not meet your expectations! Around this time of year ants are very prevalent in the area and can be nearly impossible to avoid. We do our best to maintain and clean the rooms and the surrounding area to best avoid this issue. Usually rooms on the lower end of the property are subject to the public street noises. I would recommend booking rooms on our contemporary side or higher up on the property in order to not be affected by surrounding noise. Again, we do apologize and hope to make it up to you in the future!
