The host was outstanding!!! Very responsive and accommodating!!! The house was beautiful, the beds were very comfortable and the view was wonderful!!! The host provided everything you needed. We come to Helen every year and would definitely want to stay here again!!!

An amazing Oktoberfest getaway

Oh my goodness, where to begin. The property was everything we dreamed of and more. The kitchen has every appliance from a Belgian waffle maker to an electric tea, kettle, mixers, even a rice cooker! The appliances are brand new throughout the house. The pots and pans were amazing. Amazing quality. We cooked several meals. l The hot tub was also brand new. We loved the waterfall and lights. A nice surprising touch were all the amazing toys for my two-year-old. We had a 10-year-old with us as well and she loved the Dj pianos and drums. The fire pit, an indoor fireplace were also beautiful. And we loved that they even had all the wood chopped up and ready to go! Lastly, the beds were the most comfortable renta beds I’ve ever stayed on.

Perfect For Families

ATTENTION PARENTS WITH KIDS! Love going on vacation but hate having to go to sleep when you put the kids down? If so, this is the perfect Helen cabin for you! Love the idea of a cabin in the mountains but afraid the kids won’t have a flat space outside to run around? If so, this is the perfect Helen cabin for you! Two bedrooms upstairs for the kids…and a whole suite down below equipped with a mini kitchen, fridge, and freezer for the parents. Do it your way, but this worked best for us with a 6yo and 3yo and allowed us to spend time together without whispering and tip-toeing. Both the front and back yard have a decent amount of flat ground to allow the kids to run around without fear of tumbling down a hill. The owners were AWESOME. They’ve thought of everything! My wife could not get over how thorough their first aid kit was. Arcade game and hot tub were a hit! The cabin was incredibly clean. My wife is a neat-freak and didn’t feel the need to lift a finger when we got there. This will be our vacation spot for years to come…not necessarily because of how much we love Helen and the surrounding areas/towns, but because of how perfect this house suits what we are looking for in a vacation rental. I’ve spent time trying to think of a negative about this home but can’t come up with anything. Beautiful view of the mountains both day and night and we had deer in the yard on our last day there. Not to mention you get to downtown Helen in 10 minutes or less. LOVED THIS HOME!

Fantastic Place!

We took my parents and 3 young kids for a long weekend stay at Southern Skies Chalet. The house was even better than in the pictures. The kitchen is well stocked with quality and clean items. We cooked a lot and it had everything we needed, even sharp knives, which is rare in rentals! The place was very clean and everything is either new or very well maintained. The hot tub and fire pit were fantastic, and the lights around them can be changed to different colors, which my kids loved. The arcade game and pool table were great entertainment for kids and adults. There were plenty of towels and blankets and extra towels just for the hot tub. The location was very private and had a great view. It's about a 10 min drive into Helen. I highly recommend this place. The entire trip we were commenting on how well thought out things were. The owner was great with providing information and even sent a video on how to use certain items in the house. We will certainly return in the future!
