Pet Friendly c.1866 on Jones Street w/ Private Courtyard by Lucky Savannah

The Wandering Artist is two properties combined - the main house, which has two bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms, and the carriage house, which has an additional bed and bathroom. A private courtyard connects the two homes and makes the perfect spot for morning coffee.

The main house has been recently renovated, converting two homes into one and opening up the space while maintaining the original brick walls. The spacious living room has plenty of comfortable seating, including a sleeper sofa, and a large, wall-mounted TV. Duel brick fireplaces, now decorative, are mirrored on both sides of the living space. The dining room has a beautiful, ornate table and opens to the adjacent kitchen, where you’ll find everything you need to prepare a meal.

Both bedrooms are upstairs, and each has their own bathroom. The first bedroom has a King bed and the second has a King bed and Twin bed. Each bathroom upstairs has a tub/shower combo and separate toilet area. The third bedroom is in the studio space of the carriage house which includes a Queen bed, a fully equipped kitchen and a full bath with a shower/tub combo.

You’ll be a quick walk to a selection of Savannah’s best restaurants, including Mrs. Wilkes Restaurant and Husk. A morning stroll down Jones Street will bring you to Clary’s Cafe, the setting for several scenes in Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil.

Parking:
This home has free, on-street parking. Availability will depend on time of day and season. Our guests have not reported trouble parking near the home.

We can welcome your dog companions at this pet friendly home, but ask that you find other arrangements for cats, birds, and other furry friends. There is a $130 pet fee (non-refundable) with a 35 lb. maximum weight limit per dog and a limit of 2 dogs per reservation. Some homes may allow larger dogs, please inquire for more details.

Please note, we are unfortunately unable to host bachelorette/bachelor parties or traveling singles in this home.

Great location!

The home was so beautiful and on a very photogenic street. The location also felt very safe and was in great walking distance for many if the areas we wanted to visit, for example St. John's Cathedral. We seemed to be around other visitors, so that made me feel more comfortable.The home is spacious and very beautiful. However, be aware that the three bedrooms are not in the same dwelling space. The third is in a carriage house that's just a quick walk through the courtyard. Overall, we enjoyed this location and would stay here again.

Great Place. We loved it.

Very nice space for 3 couples. Everyone had plenty of space and the location was super. They rental was very clean. The only issue we had was with the patio furniture. The chairs and sofa are very tired and the covers had holes so the cushions were damp and dirty. They really need to be replaced. Other than that 6 stars!!!! thanks

Beautiful property

We did have air conditioning issues. They sent tech right away but, was an issue he could not fix. So we had no air conditioning upstairs for the stay. Amenities were great, property was as shown and location was perfect. Just too warm at night.

Historic Charm with Modern Comfort

We had a perfect stay! This was truly one of the coolest rentals we’ve ever stayed in—charming, unique, and full of character. The location was ideal and within walking distance to most of the places we wanted to visit in Savannah. Parking was easy, which was a huge plus.Our teens especially loved having their own space in the carriage house, which is connected to the main home by the most adorable courtyard—it gave them a little independence while still being close by. The property was spotless, and the check-in/check-out process was smooth and simple.We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable stay in Savannah!

Home was beautiful with good accommodations for 3 couples. Had trouble with access code on arrival and leaking toilet, but issues were responded to quickly. Location was very nice for walking excursions in the historic district.

The house was perfect! Pictures do not do it justice, it’s quite spacious and decor is awesome. Pictures of the 2nd bedroom weren’t in the listing but it’s an exact copy of the master bedroom plus a twin bed. I loved the carriage house in the back, it was a perfect get away for my girls. The location was cute, quiet and safe. I would definitely recommend and look forward to staying again if we return!

Girls weekend in Savannah GA

My family and friends really enjoyed our stay in Savannah at Jones Street; it was the perfect place for our spring girl trip. My only complaint was the courtyard patio area would have been so much more welcoming had it been swept, the covers off the furniture. Look “unkept” other than that- everything was perfect!! I would definitely stay there again.

The place was very nice and very well decorated. The street parking was free. The only thing with out stay was the roof started leaking on the day it rained. I called the management and they sent someone right away.

December getaway

House was everything as advertised, even better. Beds are extremely comfortable. Courtyard is beautiful and very tranquil. Our two dachshunds loved being out there chasing squirrels. Pretty much everything you would want to do is within a mile to a mile and a quarter walking distance. The only issue we had was the door knobs going out to the courtyard need replaced or fixed. Other than that fantastic stay and will definitely return!!

Family getaway-

Overall a great house- we came to Savannah to visit our daughter who goes to SCAD- our son and his girlfriend came up from Jacksonville so good to have the family together. Plenty of room, especially with the carriage house available. Location was great- close to Forsythe park where we got the chance to visit the local market. Close to local eateries- Cleary's was great. Couple of suggestions- blankets- both for the den as well as additional ones for the bedrooms. Additional pillows for the beds- especially king size pillows for the master bedroom. Otherwise- would definitely recommend.

Wonderful property

Stayed here for Halloween weekend. Property was super clean and easy to get into. The carriage house was a little warmer than expected so sleeping was not as “sound” but it was tolerable. Close to so many things if you felt like walking and super safe and quiet. Would definitely stay again! Thank you!

Beautiful Property

Loved this historic home. Charming. We had trouble getting into the house as the first couple of door codes for the house and coach house did not work and we had to contact the management couple 3 times. I would recommend that more eating utensils be added, the patio furniture needed major cleaning, and have more than one dish towel. Those were not major things though. We had a great time and the neighborhood is lovely.

The perfect getaway!

Celebrated my 60th birthday with my husband and adult children here and none of us wanted to leave! This home is historically beautiful, spacious - especially with the carriage house. It has everything you could possibly need and the outdoor courtyard is the perfect, quiet spot for morning coffee. We have been visiting Savannah for many years and the location is great! Easy walkability to restaurants, bars, historic sites, the beautiful squares, city market area and River Street. We plan to stay here again in the future!

Excellent property for family stay. Only complaint was hvac in the back house was set at 74 degrees and only able to be lowered to 71 for short periods so it was a little warm at night.
