Terrific House

Savanna Sunset is beautifully set up in an ideal location. We had three generations of family in residence and there was something for all of us to do. The facilities and the layout of the house suited us perfectly. We had a ball.

Great stay on Eleuthera!

This was our 3rd visit to Eleuthera and this was our favorite property!! The house worked perfect for our family of 5 and my parents, and Desmond just saved us when our flight was cancelled! Can’t say enough about Savannah sunset!!

Pink Paradise

Fantastic set up for us - (2 sisters in our 60's, an adult daughter & 3 of her girlfriends.) Room situation fantastic as my sister and I had our own en-suites on the main floor and the girls bunked downstairs together in the nautical room.Screened-in porch was wonderful! Feels like being on a boat. Nice to have pool right there and direct access to the beautiful Bahamian water. Fun to have kayaks and a SUP.Downside was that a few minor things didn't work in the house and the no-seeum gnats are pesky. And you have to drive quite a lot to get to places.But the beaches on the island are unbelievable and worth the price of admission.If you want a restful spot with incredible sunsets, this is the place.

Great Pool and Sunset View!

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The pool at this vacation rental makes the experience. We watched the sunset from the pool more than once. Snorkeling right off the deck was also very good. The home itself was a bit stuffy when we arrived, but fine once aired out and when the AC ran in the rooms. The kitchen was also spacious and easy to use. We also enjoyed the large dining table for dinners together.

Best vacation ever for secluded beautiful Caribbean vacation

We felt like we had the whole Sound to ourselves. We utilized the infinity pool when the water was more rough from storms ( since traveled during rainy/hurricane season) and used the beautiful ocean on calm days for swimming, snorkeling, paddle boarding, kayaking. Just resting and being with family! The house was perfect had enough dos e for bedrooms and kitchen had what we needed as we cooked most meals at the house! The screen porch was great for enjoying the tropical weather in our pj’s while having morning coffee or winding down in the evening discuss which new sea creatures we saw that day snorkeling while enjoying the amazing sunsets before bed. Wished there was more than one functional kayak is my only improvement suggestion.

Great house and location but needs some attention

Savannah Sunset is very spacious and comfortable and the location is spectacular. Three couples had an amazing week. The house was very clean and pretty well furnished but it needs some attention. There are a lot of deferred maintenance issues. Lots of little things but they add up. Hot water faucet in bath didn't work. Front door key lock box is almost impossible to get into. Not a sharp knife in the house. The pool guys didn't come until we called. The infinity pool is not one because they didn't fill the pool up. The house instruction book is completely out of date (by 10 years) and promises things that are not provided i.e. welcome dinner, maid service etc. They need to update it or remove it as it is misleading. The water cooler leaks on the floor. No instructions about check in or check out were provided. The access road is terrible and you really need a vehicle with high clearance to get it and out. Nevertheless it was a great spot to enjoy the sun and ocean. The house was very good but could have been so much better with a little attention by the owner or manager.

Beautiful setting

The setting was beautiful. Perfect for rest and relaxation. We swam and enjoyed using kayaks paddle boards and snorkel gear on the ocean.

The home was more beautiful than the pictures. Very well maintained except for dishwasher not working. A bit difficult to find from the road but overall house perfect for families with children .

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our 4th trip to Lutra and our second stay at this house. We love the location for its proximity to some of our favorite beaches. For us it’s all about snorkeling and there are many good spots near by. The house and pool are very nice. Plenty of linens, toiletries, and cooking utensils. Grocery store is less than 2 miles away. My only complaint is that the house wasn’t nearly as clean as last year and that nobody was there to greet us upon arrival to answer any questions.

We had problems with the TV and internet connection, dishwasher, generator and one toilet leaked. Some of the issues were resolved but took a day or two and the others never were corrected.Most of these issues could have been avoided by proactively reviewing the property prior to our arrival.

Fabulous island with the most welcoming people

The images posted on the site were completely accurate. The house is beautiful and although we had a small group, the house could definitely support many more guests. The location was good for us as it was somewhat midway on the island. The island has one main road, which we got to know pretty well as we drove to explore the various beaches and sites every day. The pool is beautiful, but not heated. So, it was actually colder than the ocean/sea water. The house is equipped with everything you need to have fun... Bikes (though I would never risk riding on those roads), kayaks, boogie boards, etc.. The water equipment is inflatable, so make sure you pump them up before taking them out. Waking up every morning to see sunrise and the calm (or angry) water as the sun comes up or watch the gorgeous sunsets every night... Definitely highlights. We would definitely return.

Getting to the house a little tricky,not many road signs. The driveway to home was super bumpy. It actually caused battery cables on rental to loosen a few times. The home itself need a little TLC, AC in kitchen living room wasn’t working properly and needed serviced a few times. The Pool was nice but needed to be maintained better, we meed d cleaned it ourselves mostly. The great things about the place were the views, calm waters, and some of the best snorkeling. Great service from Eleuthera Vacation Rental. Would maybe return for those reasons.

Perfect Oceanfront Home

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Savannah Sunset was perfect for our family of 5 plus my mom. The screened in porch was where I spent most of my time as it had amazing views (and sunsets) and a nice breeze. The pool was great to have. It was too windy to swim out front every day except one, but it was a short drive (10 mins) to a few of the most amazing and empty beaches I have ever seen. On the day it was calm it was great snorkeling right in front of the house. There is a little grocery store nearby, and the location near the center of the island allows you to see both ends of the island. It is a farther drive from the airport and if you want to explore Harbour Island. The staff was helpful and responsive to any questions we had. The driveway was a little dicey but the house was very quiet and peaceful. Everyone on the island was amazing. I wish I was sitting on the screened porch right now!

Great space and location

Reviewer Comments: This house is ideal for a large family or even two smaller families (two masters, bunk room and basement living room)- excellent kitchen with all the necessary cooking materials. The house has filtered water. The house has NO spices/oils/etc, we brought most of this from the US. We also followed a recommendation on the website & brought frozen meat & dried goods in cooler (we saw other coolers in the baggage area too). Meat is VERY expensive. The road to the house is rough, but all roads off the main are (the island is made of limestone, and this creates potholes). There is a great grocery in Savannah Sound and a little market to buy alcohol. The prices here were some of the best on the island. We landed on a Sunday and stopped north of gov harbor at a store that was open. The Island farm next door is EXCELLENT. They also sell other provisions, including milk, wine, beer, and the Tues/Fri homemade bread day is not to be missed (Stock up!), the cinnamon rolls are amazing too. Fishbone was a great restaurant nearby, Ten Bay was our favorite beach, protected from wind too (starfish and Sand dollars). Snorkeling was excellent right from our house. We used the snorkeling gear at the house (lots of fins, bring your own goggles/moiuthpiece), they also have paddle boards, kayaks, life vests, bikes, etc. We didnt find any problem with the sea floor, as you dont touch when wearing flippers. It is not particularly rocky. The rocks on the shore are sharp (again solid limestone), so wear Tevas or flip flops and its fine. The pool was great and the screen porch was key. Lots of dvd’s, kid supplies (pack n play, etc). Perfect house

Epic vacation - This house had everything.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Incredible place for our group of 8! And you will not find a better property manager. We came with a group of eight and this place has something for everyone. The location was perfect. It felt like we were on our own private island. The amenities were exactly what our family needed. The tide pools had incredible sea life. The snorkeling was fantastic (and all the equipment was provided). Early in the mornings, our family, loved to take kayaks, paddle boards, and the canoe out on the consistently pristine, beautiful, and calm waters that were right in the backyard. We used the pool every single day (be mindful some of the edges of the pool stairs are a bit sharp). Desmond was the best property manager. He gave us great suggestions of areas to visit, brought our boys a fishing cage that we used to catch fish for breakfast, and even brought us an island dessert one evening. The cabana had the most beautiful views...goodness everyplace did (the dock, the pool, the screened room, even the gathering room and kitchen). We did lots of provided puzzles, movies every night (big selection). Kids room was great for our four children (the left screen had a small tear that let bugs in that we didn’t catch for a few days). Every day we went out and had experiences unlike anywhere we’ve ever been. Eleuthera has the most beautiful beaches we have ever seen. We used provided boogie boards at Surfer’s beach and the scurf board at Poponi beach (Poponi was recommended by Desmond and was our favorite beach of many we visited). Comber’s beach had so many shells and this property was so conveniently centralized to everywhere we wanted to go. Their was a store and island farm close by that had everything we needed. Gpa and Gma preferred the house to going out most days. Savannah Sunset House is the perfect destination for being on our own. Pure Relaxation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This year, we were looking for a getaway where we could truly turn off for a couple of weeks. Not be bothered by staff, neighbors, traffic and have the space and peace to restore. Savannah Sunset was an excellent solution.We've been to Eleuthera a number of times before, so have had the opportunity to explore the island quite a bit. This time, we didn't even want pressure to leave the house, beyond rations, and this property delivered. I spent a lot of time floating around in the lovely infinity pool. My husband enjoyed taking the kayak out. We had a couple of windy days where we sat in the palapa and enjoyed the waves breaking around us. And, the sunsets from this location are genuinely spectacular.There was a bit of an issue one day with the water pump, but the house manager came right over to assess the situation, quickly purchased a replacement part, and was able to fix it within a couple of hours.The house is about 10 mins from Palmetto Point where you can get delicious BBQ from 3Js (sign up for their whatsapp notifs when you arrive), and Mate & Jenny's pizza. There's a new (to us) market just 5 mins south, so you no longer have to drive up to Governer's Harbour for groceries. Although, you can get to GH for more stores and restaurants in under 20 mins.I will note that it wasn't entirely clear to me that you don't walk out to the pool directly from the house. It's accessed via a side door and around and down one smaller and one longer flight of stairs. This wasn't an issue for us, other than a bit of a trek for another Kalik, but I imagine it might not be ideal for families with children within a certain age range. As with all island homes other than completely brand new builds, there is some rust around the edges. And, speaking of new builds, there are now two right next door. No one was there for most of our stay, but there is the possibility of neighbors.Savannah Sunset was the perfect choice for the relaxing

This was THE PERFECT place to stay for our family vacation. We had a group of 10 and there was plenty of space for everyone. The view was amazing and we spent alot of time in the pool or sitting on the covered porch. A few of us also enjoyed the kayaks. The host was very responsive and there were zero issues with check in. This was our 3rd trip to Eleuthera, but our first stay at this house. It was our favorite rental spot so far. Everything exceeded our expectations!

Absolutely Perfect!

We could not have asked for more perfect place to stay during our time in Eleuthera. The kayaks, the snorkeling, the pool, the screened porch, the views, the SUNSETS…. We didn’t want to leave the house! The house had it all, the downstairs space was perfect for our teenage kids. I will def stay here again. Desmond (the property manager) was so helpful and responsive with all of our needs. It was great to have him nearby. Can’t wait to go back!

Perfect week at Savannah Sunset

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our crew of 3 couples had an incredible week at Savannah Sunset! The location was great for us, close to a grocery store, 15 min from Governors Harbour, and we even spent several days on the north end and didn’t mind the drive. The road to get there is not bad at all and not far off the main. The house was clean and well stocked on arrival. We quickly jumped in and started snorkeling, saw lobsters, grouper, plenty of other fish just off the dock! We used the paddle boards daily and pool floats. Our first night we ate at 1648– loved, highly recommend! Day2 we drove up north and did a trip with TyMan Fishing charter and Adventures— HIGHLY recommend!! Swam with turtles, stingrays, dove for lobster, saw the swings, visited the pigs, had homemade lobster rolls. It was amazing! They take pictures all day that are incredible and we will cherish forever. That night we had Devaughn Sweeting come over and cook for us. Very reasonable cost & food was delicious! So relaxing to be able to hang at the house and have him take care of everything. We wish we would have done another night with him! The next day we explored several beaches nearby. Ten bay is super close to the house and one of our favorites! The house has beach towels, beach chairs and umbrellas. This was really nice! We did a day fishing with Fishbone tours and also had lunch at their bar and grill. We even saw a whale on our fishing charter, so cool! Their food and service was great. It is super close to the house as well. It is owned by a local artist who is incredible and so part of our group did a sip and paint one night with bottomless rum punch 😋. They do this every Monday. Tuesdays they do a salsa night. We spent a day on Harbour Island which was fun to see. Dinner Tuesday at Buccaneer club with live music was great! Also did Twin cove beach (another favorite!) and lobster dinner at the house the last night. The perfect trip! We’ll be back!

Awesome

There were 3 couples and the house fit perfect for our needs. Everyone had their own bed and bath. Kitchen well equipped. View was better than expected. Loved the covered deck on the ocean. We will be planning a trip back to this property. The drive coming in was crazy but worth it. Not sure I would bring small children due to the lack of railing at the end of the pool but I understand why they weren't there. Wouldn't want anything blocking the view. Location was great being in the middle of the island. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a fantastic view and relaxing trip.
