The sunrises were awesome, the lake so still and calm in the mornings. The property itself was beautiful and well taken care of. We enjoyed our stay.

Great place to stay.

This place is awesome. Great communication. Very clean and everything you need and more. The house is on a beautiful point with lots of wildlife. Seen lots of deer, snow geese and lots of eagles. There were 8 on the ice at one time. I nicknamed this place eagle point. The fishing was awesome. Lots of fish caught. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend.

Nice place and mostly all updated well. House was very clean and well maintained. Great fire pit area and pier (although no paddles to be found for the canoe offered). Kitchen pans and such could be updated and they only offer a kuerig coffee maker. Missing fireplace set but made do. Plenty of towels, blankets and beds. Located on a beautiful lake, very quiet area and nice location to the whole area!

Home away from home.

My grandparents built this home in the late 1950's and the current owners have done a lovely job remodeling it. They kept enough of the old while updating things that needed to be modernized. The new bathrooms are gorgeous, and the living spaces downstairs are a wonderful addition. This is home away from home for my family and in my humble opinion, the best property on the lake. The point is private and offers multiple gorgeous views and many up-close wildlife sightings including loons and eagles. If you are looking for peace and quiet or you enjoy biking, hiking, fishing and boating, this is the place to be!

Beautiful home! Great views from deck. Water was clear and good swimming for kids. Fishing can always be better, but it was good. Had family of 8 and plenty room for everyone. Beautilful landscaping. Eagles galore!

A Perfect Long Weekend

The Point on Plum is a hidden gem on Plum Lake. This refurbished cabin is adorable, the grounds are immaculate, and the lake area and dock were perfect for our family that included a toddler. We have rented several places in the Northwoods and this is one of our favorites. Would rent again in a heartbeat. A lovely family getaway on beautiful Plum Lake.

We loved everything about this property! I have been waiting for years to come back to this beautiful lake. When I saw this property I booked it right away. The location is perfect, the views are amazing, the house is adorable and the outdoor property is fantastic. We enjoyed every square inch. We had 8 people and we were very comfortable in this home. When we pulled up to the property my jaw literally dropped. I’m already wanting to book again!! Thank you for sharing this beautiful property with others. A perfect location on Plum Lake with 180 deg views

This is a prime Plum Lake location. The dock is long and solid, with gradual sandy bottoms. The Old Towne Canoe was solid, but we couldn't find any PFDs to use with it. Beds were a bit firm, but bedrooms were cute and functional.

Fabulous Property

Cleanliness and upkeep of property flawless! Location was favorable for us near favorite restaurants and snowmobile trails. There is not a dishwasher, if that's important for you! We came as a couple, bedrooms are set up great for kids! We will definitely return! Peaceful and inspiring.

Great location on Plum Lake

Kitchen needs updating. Arrived at 3:55 for 4:00 check-in. They were still cleaning-didn't get in until 4:20. Windows don't have cranks that worked. Steps outside unsafe. Love the wildlife but the lawn was full of goose poop-kids couldn't play on the lawn. Probably look for better place next year.

Plum Lake Delivers

Having spent years on this lake growing up I had high expectations for our family vacation with reservations of how the rental of 'Point on Plum' would deliver. Deliver it did! It is a well appointed home and decorated in a way that helps everyone relax. Every bed was comfortable and the bathrooms updated to include new plush towels. No air conditioning but we brought a box fan and window fan that served us well. No dining room table in the home to accommodate our family of 7, but mother nature cooperated so we enjoyed our meals on the beautiful deck that seated all of us. In the winter you would be forced to dine at the island, side table and family room furniture. I hate to admit or testify, but this home overdelivers from the photos they post. The outdoor spaces are beautifully manicured that encourage outdoor play, fishing, campfires and NATURE. The loons, eagles, ducks, fish, bullfrogs, water snakes, deer and mosquitos (pending the direction of the evening breeze). My childhood love of Plum Lake and the surrounding communities was embraced by my adult children and we all want to come back again and again. That says a lot for a family that spreads as far as Georgia!! Thank you for all the love and attention you put into restoring this home, and sharing with complete strangers so we too can embrace family and make memories that will last a lifetime.
