Understand Covid is present but the room was dusty and smelt floaty. When booking there was no explanation about the breakfast. £149 was a lot of money for the standard of this room. Website didn’t really match reality. The young staff were great and very friendly. One of the older staff didn’t even speak!! Was underwhelmed!

Great Location, Tired Decor

The hotel decor is tired and shabby and could do with refreshing. The cliff top location is lovely. Due to Covid-19 restrictions breakfast is a pre-ordered bacon or sausage roll in a bag with a yogurt, biscuit and pastry, to be taken to your room or eaten elsewhere.

Good location and view but hotel is grim. No hot water in the evening after a long day out, unpleasant breakfast in a paper bag and tin foil wrapper with supermarket style pre-packed croissant and breakfast biscuit, coffee/chocolate machine not working at breakfast, wifi didn't work, room extremely hot and walls in great need of painting, communal areas unwelcoming with a variety of home made signs. Overall extremely bad value for money and I would never stay again.

Not the best

Hotel looks shabby from the outside. The advertised “free parking” is actually on road parking so you could be parking some way from the hotel! Check in was dreadful the young man on reception didn’t have a clue and could even tell me whether we needed to make reservations at nearby restaurants as he “usually eats at McDonalds”! The room was shabby - Premier Inn now advertise that they change their shower curtains after each guest - goodness knows how often this hotel changes its shower curtain but it’s certainly not after each guest! Beds are uncomfortable and although we could see the sea From the room this was marred by a dirty flat top roof immediately outside the window. To top it off although I had pre-paid for my stay with Hotels.com the hotel receptionist also required payment so now I am left with the inconvenience of arranging a refund. Very overpriced for what it is.

Paid for seaview never got it.

On arrival we was greated well and on 1st loom the hotel looked very clean and tidy. We paid for a sea view and this is where the hotel failed. We was in room 205 an the room is not sea view. You jave to stick your head out the window to see the sea. The double bed was 2 single beds slapped together. The breakfast was in a bag not a buffet like it states on here. Room was ok for cleanliness but did have the housekeeping knock every day to clean. All in all its an ok place to stay just wish we never paid the £50 extra for a sea view because we never got one.

Was a very lovely place and the rooms are spacious, my only issue was the TV didn't work and the WiFi wouldn't connect ,but apart from that the beds, food and quality of the hotel was really nice

Perfect weekend break and times of COVID

Excellent room with sea view. Staff very helpful and friendly. All processes complying with COVID safe measures. Masks must be worn in common areas. Hand sanitiser all over the place. Breakfast delivered in individual bags. Social distancing in the restaurant. Very clean place. Highly recommended.

Arrived after a ten mile walk to find no hot water in shower and ‘nothing they could do’! At 9 30 I was offered another room! Didn’t move as just wanted to go to bed by then. Breakfast in a bag, horrible tho juice and tea ok. Every other hotel I stayed at that week offered a fresh cooked breakfast despite covid. No bar or restaurant and no where round about to eat as everywhere fully booked. A miserable stay.

Was in room 306 one of the lights didn't work, and the bathroom light often flickered on random occasions,. The walk in shower had electric wires coming from the ceiling. A The beds bases, for a double bed were at different heights and one mattress was super soft, as though the springs had gone, therefore we slept at different levels. There was a strong,, drain smell through the night coming from the bathroom. The place seriously needs updating,, and maintaining, not worth the money 😳

I liked the people who ran the business they couldn’t do enough for you, very Approachable. The views were amazing. However I didn’t like breakfast in a bag sausages were cold so was the bap it came in for what I paid for the accommodation I would have excepted a lot better breakfast, my room was very big so happy with that,but cleanliness could do with improvement cob webs on the ceiling spider on the sink,

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, bed really comfortable and had a eonderful nights sleep. Not all amenities available due to the pandemic, but hey, we were greatful to get away at all and found the rules and/or restrictions pretty well organised.

Really nice and friendly staff. I accidentally left my wallet at reception and didn’t realise the lady at reception came and knocked our door to give me my wallet which contained all my bank cards and holiday money I would have been lost without it. Trust worthy and friendly staff. In a beautiful location will definitely be stopping again. Thank you

Overnight Break

The hotel is well located. The staff are friendly but there were few of them - not complaining just giving everyone a heads up. Room was clean and well decorated. Breakfast was a choice of takeaway bap brought to you in the socially distanced breakfast room at a time of your choosing together with a sealed croissant and self served piece of fruit. Self served hot and cold drinks makes this for us a five star breakfast under the circumstances. Give this hotel your custom - they deserve it.
