“Although the property is a bit dated it was well maintained. The bed was huge and really comfortable and I appreciated being able to have a bath with large soft luxurious fluffy white towels. The staff I encountered were friendly and there was a great choice at breakfast. Downsides were the shower was a bit weak and the WiFi only worked about 50% of the time.”

“Such lovely people! The landlady waited for me to arrive. I was given a room upgrade. Clean room, lovely shower with jets to massage my back and for breakfast the bacon stood out.. The fatty bit was perfectly crispy (how I like it) and tgere was even greek yoghurt for my muesli. Definitely will recommend !”

“Our room was very small and a little worn. We spent one night there and left the next day for Orkney. Upon returning we stayed a second night and our room was a lot more spacious as well as updated. I would suggest looking at your room upon check-in as the hotel seems to be in different stages of remodel. The breakfast was very good and the food in the restaurant as well.”

“Jane is friendly and sincere. We were impressed by her welcome tea while we did the check in. She actively provided advice on the choice of restaurants in the area and helped us book a table for dinner at Northern Sands. Jane and Richard are nice guys with their lovely cat, Lona. We did have a happy time there. Cheers.”

“Kayce was amazing. She greeted us and introduced herself- the room was clean and had everything we needed- fresh flowers. The dinner we ordered was excellent and to order the best meal we had on our trip so far. Everything was locally sourced and made by Kayce herself. She was literally just a text message away. I would highly recommend staying here and would love to come stay again ”
