"Lovely Manor House Hotel property set within its own grounds and beautiful gardens, only a few miles outside of Oudtshoorn. Lovely large bedroom and bathroom. Comfy bed, fluffy towels and toiletries with room service each day. Excellent breakfasts with good choice of healthy options and hot selection cooked fresh to order. The owner and staff were extremely helpful and friendly. "

"Our stay was fantastic. We were late checking in and they were very accommodating and still allowed us to order some dinner even though the restaurant was almost closed. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay again. "

"We arrived late in the evening as dinner was being served but after a slight mix up with our room we were given lovely cottage/house that was beautiful. We were only here for one night but it was so lovely. The dinner was simple but really enjoyable and all guests sat around the fire pit afterwards until late into the night telling stories about their travels. The staff here were so friendly and helpful and would recommend this place. "

"While the room was clean and quite big, the mattresses were extremely hard and not comfortable at all. This being said, the electric blankets were a nice touch, and the overall room layout was very nice, especially the outisde shower which was quite a hit with the kid. The staff was very pleasant, the giraffes awesome to stare at, and the breakfast quite hearty, but we honestly found the nightly cost to be quite expensive for what we got."

Combined with a Route 62 drive, this provides the perfect counterweight to the coastal drives. Add in a drive through the Merringspoort pass - stunning! "We choose to stay at this property as it gave us an overview of a working farm in Oudtshoorn. We stayed in a two bedroom modular home which was extremely quiet and nestled along the river. We did not have dinner there but did have breakfast. It was very good with a lot of options both cold and hot. "
