What makes Casa Vela great is the people running it. Barbara, Alessandro (great sommelier), Alessia and Natale. The nicest. Good breakfast and had a great dinner. The best location in sweet Chianalea. This is a hub for good drink and food and happy vibes.

Best Bed and Breakfast hotel in Scilla.

Fantastic b and b right in the centre of the old town. Faultless service from start to finish. Room was spacious with a little balcony. Kitchen was an added bonus. The whole team were really friendly and helpful which added to our overall experience. Great breakfast every morning. We ate at the restaurant which serves great food. Overall really enjoyed our stay here and will come back.

Our stay at Casa Vela can only be described as magical. The owner allowed us to stay in an upgraded room for the first couple of nights, which had an incredible view looking over the streets and the sea! Casa Vela has a wonderful wine bar attached to it with excellent food and drinks. Our room was clean and very comfortable. The staff are very kind and attentive! Scilla might be the most beautiful community in all of Italy, the people are warm and welcoming and there is a very laid back “tranquile” vibe. I highly recommend staying at Casa Vela and we cannot wait to come back again!

Tricky hotel with lovel people

Lovely staff and wonderful location. Spacious room with kitchenette. Staff were so friendly and gracious. Nice little bar downstairs. Only issues are the water turns off every night at 10 p.m and stays off until morning. A pump made a loud noise every 12 minutes all night long until the water is turned back on. The hotel provides a couple bottles of water per night as the hotel water is not potable. The location is on the heart of old town which is pedestrian only, so it's a very long walk to the parking area.

We reached there but there was no one to greet us as the b&b was locked. Had a tough time trying to see if anyone around spoke English and could call the owner. Finally a local shop owner was kind enough to call. The owner came and dint know English at all. Told her that our friends were also on their way but when they got their again she was gone and I had to run around trying to find someway to check them in. Better communication is needed especially if they lost their accommodation for international travelers. Basic breakfast and rooms, shabby stairs to room.

Ytterst vänlig personal o ägare. Mycket god mat i deras lilla Vinbar. Bra att det fanns möjlighet att välja frukost. Vi hade standard studio som tyvärr saknade fönster (hade glasblock) och hade en lite unken lukt. Rummet blev lite mörkt och kallt. Sköna sängar tillgång till kök med kylskåp. Vi erbjöds att uppgradera till fönster och balkong/terras. Priset var dock något för högt. Personalen fantastiskt trevlig
