「The hotel is a few minutes walk from Mallaig train station, and the ferry terminal. There are two supermarkets and a few restaurants around the village so that one can easily get refreshments. I was amazed that the hotel is in a delicate traditional wooden decor, and has a relaxing garden terrace. I also enjoyed the window view a lot! The room was clean and it’s reception was excellent. 「Our family had such a great stay at the Toravaig House Hotel. From the moment we arrived the team was welcoming and helpful. The rooms were beautiful and clean. The breakfasts were spot on and delicious; my favorite the kedgeree (yum). 「If you are looking for a place to stay on Islay that offers a comfortable and beautiful setting, complimented by great food and friendly and helpful staff, look no further. The rooms were wonderfully furnished and the attention to detail throughout the property was evident at every turn. The grounds, in particular the walk to the beach, were well done and drew us in for regular strolls.
Didn't play golf this time, but have in the past . . . highly recommended.
